What a quarterfinal! Eight teams showed, so we had a full bracket, and THREE of the underdogs won! The Transtrivia Agenda has won the overall weekly title two weeks in a row, too! They'll need another big performance as they're matched up against My Drinking Team Has A Trivia Problem in the semifinal.

We had our biggest night of trivia EVER last week! It was literally standing room only, as we had to bring extra chairs up from the basement, as The Transtrivia Agenda took home the most competitive weekly night of trivia in Trivial Trivia history!

The seeds are set and we are ready for the first round of the tournament! One team will win the tournament and the $250 associated with the privilege. But WHO WILL IT BE?! My Drinking Team Has A Trivia Problem has won more than half of our titles at MB Lounge, but this is our most competitive season ever and every team has a shot. Even with Halloween coming up, we still saw NINE teams last week! What's Glove Got To Do With It? pulled out the win on the back of another huge list round, marking the third time they've taken the weekly title and SECOND IN A ROW. Big shoutout to a big night from Transtrivia Agenda, too!

There is only ONE POINT separating our top two seeds (My Drinking Team Has A Trivia Problem and Wand And A Rabbit) and third place is TIED! Everything is on the line going into this last week of Season Ten's regular season. Remember, only eight teams will qualify for the playoffs, so you need these points regardless of where you stand!

Don't forget that a team will earn 5 bonus points *per new recruit* they bring to that night of (regular season) trivia. To qualify, the new player will have to give me their first name and must be brand new to Trivial Trivia (across all seasons and teams). So - spread the word and bring your friends, family, workmates, and exes!

Another big night last week! Nine teams played and for the first time in a few weeks, we have a new winner! What's Glove Got To Do With It? took the big W, finishing just seven points ahead of Wand And A Rabbit!

Remember that for this week, if anyone on your team is in a *proper* costume (not just a hat or something) as judged by me, your trivia god, your team will get a 5-point bonus! Happy spoopy season!

After a slow start, our returning season champions are back with a vengeance. They've won two in a row, this time on the back of an incredible 93-point Family Feud round. And with that, we're halfway through Season Four!

We did it, chat! Three weeks in the books.

After a rough start to the season, our reigning champs couldn't be held down forever - My Drinking Team Has A Trivia Problem took their first weekly title of the season! Shoutout to Wand and a Rabbit, who finished second AGAIN - another great week for them.

In fact, Wand and a Rabbit has been so consistent that they've moved into #1 overall for the season! Panic! at the Trivia moves down to second this week followed by a rising My Drinking Team Has A Trivia Problem at third.

We're so back.

It's Season Ten and you're late. Get to class. (Class is MB Lounge on Thursday nights)

Crazy week last week - the score was suuuuuper close...until it wasn't. Panic! at the Trivia overcame a 34-point banger from Wand and a Rabbit and even a SECESSION to take a big victory in front of a packed house.

As always, super flattered so many people show up and can't wait for Week Three. In that spirit - I'm introducing yet ANOTHER way to earn points. Moving forward, a team will earn 5 bonus points *per new recruit* they bring to that night of trivia. To qualify, the new player will have to give me their first name and must be brand new to Trivial Trivia (across all seasons and teams). So - spread the word and bring your friends, family, workmates, and exes!

Obviously, this rule does not apply to the tournament. Not only would that be unfair, anyone playing for you in the tournament must have played for you in the regular season.

In what was a tight semifinal until the end, a couple of teams pulled away and we now have our Season Nine final set! Luigi's Mansione 3 advances after putting Simple Minds to bed and My Drinking Team Has A Trivia Problem took the entire night's prize and likewise move on! Drinking Team has won the overall prize for both nights of the tournament but can they do it one more time?

My Drinking Team Has A Trivia Problem is looking for their record fourth overall tournament title and Luigi's Mansione 3 is looking for their first. Regardless, this week will make Trivial Trivia history.

Shoutout to TERF Stompers who had a fantastic season, winning two weeks, and had a real shot at the title. I have zero doubts they'll be a top-tier team in the fall when we pick up Season Ten.

As a reminder, we'll return in late August or early September, so stay tuned here for updates.

Appropriately, our final theme for the season is...EMPIRES! Who will rise and be crowned? Who will falter and be conquered? Bring your friends, your loved ones, and randoms off the street because this should be a battle for the ages.

With a surprise no-show by MUNDO DE GUANTES (emphasis on my accent) and a surprise re-visit by Pamela Anderson Should Never Have Gotten Plastic Surgery, our field was set last week and unsurprisingly, My Drinking Team Has A Trivia Problem was back to true form. They know how to rise when it counts!

Our semifinal is now set and big shoutout to Simple Minds, who visit it for the first time! Only two teams will make it to the final, but who will it be?

That'll be enough of vacation...it's time to get down to business. We must choose our Season Nine champion.

For the first time ever, Luigi's Mansione 3 has officially secured the season's TOP SEED! Last time, though, our weekly winner was the TERF Stompers, who secured their second-straight victory.

As a reminder, we'll play a normal three-week tournament and then take a break for the summer. We'll return in late August, likely either the 21st or the 28th, so stay tuned here for updates.

For the tournament, (up to) eight teams qualify for the quarterfinals. If we don't get that many, we'll have a number of byes until we get only four teams moving on to next week's semifinal.
