A group of ethical hackers (sometimes known as "white hats") have been recruited for a top-secret special operation. The evening before the game, a young man made a questionable purchase from a company called "The Odyssey" for a virtual reality headgear. While he was experimenting with the new headset, all of a sudden, he found himself completely immersed in the digital environment of the game. Finding clues that will assist in rescuing the prisoner and bringing him back to the actual world will be the objective of the team's task, which will need them to travel back and forth between the real and virtual worlds.

While one member of the team at a time dons the virtual reality headset and provides a description of the virtual environment, the other members of the team in the actual world work to find solutions. These solutions consist of sets of lock modules that, when combined with the White Hats Guide Book, unlock the doors to various rooms. After they have reached the point where they believe they have completed the task, they are taken to a higher level where they must repeat the same rooms but this time with more difficult locking mechanisms. The purpose of the game is to encourage healthy rivalry between different teams, and the primary screen will track the progress of a number of different teams throughout the course of a single gaming session.

The Results of Our Instructional Efforts
