Looking to light up this Guy Fawkes with fireworks? They’re best left to the professionals, but if you’re using them at home:
🧨Only light fireworks in an open area away from people, pets, buildings, trees and livestock. If you happen to get a dud, don’t try to relight it.
🧨Make sure an adult is lighting fireworks one at a time on a calm night. Have a bucket of water, fire extinguisher or hose nearby.
🧨Dispose of fireworks by soaking them in a large bucket of water overnight. Wrap them securely and put them in your household rubbish or take them to your local landfill.
🧨If you’ve got leftover fireworks, keep them in their original packaging, on a high shelf away from heat sources and flammable substances. The packaging is fire-resistant and has safety information on the label.

Super excited! Lights over Marlborough is getting ever so closer! 16th November... Book this date in to be at A & P park for Whitney Street Schools main fundraiser!
Please come and check it out.. there is so much to see and do before the bangs even start!
Here is a bunch of star shells ( the big booms) that will be fired... interesting fact.. most starshell types are named after flowers... Dahlias, Peonys etc.

Had a awesome fireworks show tonight to help Marlborough Boys College celebrate their 125th Anniversary.
Thank you so much for entrusting me with lighting up the sky for you all. We had a blast! Glad you all loved it as much as we did. 😊🤘
Thank you very much also to Kelvin from Fireworks New Zealand for crewing for me in the absolute torrential rain and cold conditions!!

Wow! Had an amazing night tonight doing my first ever show at the Awesome Eastern States Speedway! A wonderful day with loads of laughs, the most thrilling entertainment a speedway can offer including wicked cars, hardcore racing, the smells of food, and fuel... the music.. the commentating... like actually everything! Then we got to set up the track with fireworks blasting off... lots of colour and bangs and the feedback has been wicked.
I want to say thank you so much to my Kiwi Pyro crew.
Kelvin Holdaway from Fireworks New Zealand.. who keeps me from exploding like the excitement of it all.. while really getting stuck in and helping non stop for the weeks ahead of this.. all the while cracking jokes and having fun. and my son Kaige Harris who was my fire spotter tonight.. running around with a sprayer and a heavy extinguisher.. checking every spark and keeping the grounds safe. So absolutely grateful to my team.
Huge thanks to Eastern States Speedway for having us. They sure know how to throw an event, and so super organized there was no worries at all... I see next week there will be some insanely epic racing.. so please go support our wonderful local event.

Well wow.. been a busy fireworks season and that is Januarys magic shows done! I had the pleasure of crewing for Kelvin for Fireworks NZ on both New Years and Maritime Festival in Picton. And its a bit quiet for now, but have just picked up an awesome show for April, Will keep you posted on that! I will be posting more behind the scenes pictures this year.. so if there is anything you would like to see or more of something... Just let me know!

Wow!
What a fantastic night last night.. Whitney Street Schools Lights Over Marlborough was an absolute blast!
So much fun.. and an awesome display... which could not have been so awesome without my wicked crew!
Firstly.. Kelvin Holdaway.. who is my main sidekick.. helping me weeks in advance and supplying all the tech gear for the show, and sanity, who is still currently helping me clean off the trailer from all the racks and wire! Phil Rayner... You are such an amazing mentor and the man who keeps me calm throughout the show! John Ivanoff... who travels all the way from nelson to help out and provides the dose of humour we all need... Dana Goodwin who is so knowledgeable and helpfull, and gets stuck in until the last min everytime! Phillip Robertson .. my awesome Dad who although he had a migraine still came and helped out for hours and raked up a huge ton of mess.. and Henry who offered a hand.. but we lost him somewhere 😂 and Kaige. My boy.. who after turning 18, has joined my pyro crew with such enthusiasm and joy.. he is now a part of the team for good.
I want to also thank Cheryl, the principal of Whitney.. who as tradition states.. must come running onto the field after the show fires to give me a giant hug. she has just made crew for next year. 😂❤
Huge thanks to the team there who allows me the opportunity to be creative with the pyro! and thanks to the fire service for parking up with us all evening.. great laughs. ❤❤⚘ So many people to thank. There will be photos and videos to come.. but please post to the page if you have any.. xx

The very end of an awesome show.

I want to say huge thanks to Cheryl and Whitney Street School for letting me do this amazing show each year. Thank you to my super hard working team, Phil, (the amazing man you guided me and gave me the opportunity to take over this event 6 years ago) Kelvin, (you have been amazing in all the hard work behind the scenes, hours of endless chats and fun, and lending me all your gear) John, (6 hours of driving to even get to help at this event!) Phillip, (aka dad, it is awesome working with your Dad, esp when he is cool and made the crew super tasty scones), Wayne, (it was his birthday, and we didn't know and he was there for all the hard hours), Ben, (who was great company, fantastic help, and we learnt about his wicked motorbike collection) Dana, who was superb in her help and knowledge and long hours, and we got to meet her daughter on the firing line) Mark, ( our awesome official photographer, who got some stunning shots, great company, and can take pictures pyroside forever if wanted! Awesome Job my amazing crew. it's hard work, and you all nailed it. 100% fired.
Also thanks to Reg and my son kaige for putting up with my endless babble about it, and my other kids Clauds and Daish, and grandkids, and my family and friends.
Also thank you to all the people that supported us, from helpers delivering food and coffee, Clive for giving us shelter, Chris and the sound crew for bringing my music to life. The firemen who sat with me pyroside, great fun.
so many wicked people, who pull this together. just awesome.. buzzing right now. xx

So insanely excited as we get nearer to Whitney Street Schools epic night of entertainment... Lights Over Marlborough!

After what feels like a really long time, I am finally getting my pyro buzz back on!
Last night I crewed for Kelvin from Fireworks New Zealand at the Cloudy Bay harvest party, and tonight and tomorrow night I am also crewing for him for Ruapuna Speedway! Its the dream job, loads of laughs, pyro and the smell and sound of cars racing! Its right next to the Mike Pero racetrack so spent the day fusing while watching some amazing cars and eating speedway food! counting down to firing.. woohoo
