I’m making Christmas cakes today!
Do you know the secrets to ensuring that your cake always turns out perfectly???

1. Always line your tin with a thick layer of newspaper on the outside, this helps to stop the sides of the cake from burning during its long cook.

2. Using a spoon, make a dip in the middle of your mixture, this helps to stop the cake peaking in the centre during cooking.
