It was party food last night for The Home Kitchen with a selection of canapes. We made chicken Caesar wraps, crostini topped with brie and apple cranberry compote, then falafel, hummus and pomegranate bites. For desert we made mini strawberry meringue tartlets with balsamic cream and lemon tart squares. All went down a storm but the tartlets were the stand out success - gone in 60 seconds!
Another busy day at The Home Kitchen - it started with a lovely summer filo tart with asparagus, courgette, feta and lemon. Then I made my most popular dessert which is chocolate and fresh raspberry pavlova. Then lastly, to make the best of the summer nectarines I put them in a Bakewell cake with almonds and marzipan.

I can provide you with anything from a single loaf of rustic bread to a dinner party spread for 30 friends, from a special dessert just for you to BBQ food ready to pop straight on the grill.
I don’t use set menu’s or prices - I prefer to cook what you want and how you like it. I have a vast array of recipes to choose from or I can reproduce one of your family favourites. Depending on your choice, my food can be fully cooked ready to serve or prepared by me ready to cook in your own home.
Whenever possible I use the best of local suppliers for my ingredients - The Plant Shed, Copplestone and Thornes Farm Shop, Stockleigh Pomeroy for the freshest fruit and vegetables, Clannaborough Barton, nr Copplestone and Cox’s butchers, Crediton for excellent local meat, and even my own back garden when I’m feeling green fingered.
All my food is home cooked, by me, in my own kitchen with no added nasties. I provide full ingredient lists, cooking/serving instructions and use by/best before dates. I’m happy to deliver or food can be collected - whichever works best for you.
On most Saturdays you will find my bread and other baked goods at The Plant Shed, Copplestone.
Please feel free to get in touch for my about my range - I’m always ready to talk about food!
