Ich habe meinen ersten Gig vor einem halben Jahr gehabt und bin so dankbar, dass ich seitdem viele herzliche Menschen aus unserer Szene kennen lernen durfte und freue mich über jeden den ich noch kennen lernen werde. Ich habe unglaublich viel gelernt, durch die Menschen die die Musik fühlen, hören, genießen und auch durch andere DJ’s und Produzenten, die ihr Wissen mit mir teilen und sich darüber freuen voneinander zu lernen. Es macht einfach nur Spaß neue Ideen beim Auflegen zu finden und euch auf dem Floor zu begeistern. Danke an jeden der mich unterstützt! ✨

Er ist eben super 🙏🏽☺️

The DJ life is really not always easy. From the outside it all looks great. Often I receive comments like: "Well, you're lucky, aren't you?" Or “So, where are you going on holiday now again?”.

It is sometimes difficult to explain over and over again that this is not the case. At some point I just stopped talking about it.

The truth is, as a well-known DJ you have quite a burden on your shoulders. The constant pressure to deliver at top level. Having to score a hit again and again to stay relevant. Nowadays you also have to be a highly skilled entrepreneur to be able to practice the DJ profession at the highest level. No rhythm, little sleep, rock-hard adrenaline shots and the inevitable dips that come with it. Working every day. And also endless long journeys, every week. Mandatory photo rounds, always smiling. As a DJ you are not allowed to “not have your day”, because then you are immediately seen as an “arrogant bastard”.

The envy between many artists, the backstabbing behavior, the huge inflated egos of certain colleagues who think they are the king, the lies and gossip that goes around, the monopoly game behind the scenes, etc. It makes me sick in my stomach!

Many DJs don't talk about this (including myself), but I know that it is quite difficult for many. This is not a job for someone who isn't 1000% passionate about it or who doesn't have a particularly good work ethic.

That being said. Because of all this, I really cherish the beautiful moments, the great bookings, growing towards higher goals, the Peacock in Concert shows, being together with the small group of fellow artists who do wish you the best. And of course the emotion in the faces of the die-hard dedicated people in the audience! 🙏🏻 Priceless.

How nice would it be if artists help each other? And also help the smaller artists? To make and keep the scene healthy. Be happy for each other's success. Support each other. Organizations that don't get in each other's way. Etc.
It seems too good to be true…

Anyway… At the moment I can say that despite the destructive lifestyle, I still do what I love! ❤️
