For anyone that knows me, knows Makeup Artistry is my passion ๐จ and it has been for 14+ years now!! Even then back in high school I remember being the girl that would come in with purple smokey eyeshadow and whichever free STICKY af lip gloss I got out of magazines ๐คฃ
I lived and breathed different types of makeup - moving to Glasgow to pursue special fx, theatre etc. Life didnโt go the exact route I thought it would (famous film MUA ๐) but no one knows what road lies ahead. I had to drop everything to move home and care for my mum who had cancer. When she passed away I felt numb and put makeup at the back of my mind - I had to get a job and earn money not dream anymore. But as the years went on, changing jobs, having children, gaining a teaching position and getting back into that creative mind set and working with fellow creatives itโs made me who I am today. And my mum wanted me to stay true to who I am โจ Thereโs no definitive path, itโs how we conquer it ourselves ๐ช๐ผ

We have ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐๐ฝ as an ๐๐ฉ๐๐ก๐๐ก๐ course! This will consist of ๐ข๐ก๐ evening ๐ฏ hours per week in the UHI. This will include ๐ฐ units in total, covering Day makeup and Basic Corrective makeup, Bridal and Evening makeup and Contemporary makeup. The units chosen focuses on specific makeup styles that the students will learn, as well as learning on young and mature skin, corrective techniques and creating glamorous fashion makeup. This evening course will provide SQA credits and the skills in the key aspects of makeup that can lead them directly into further progression with Makeup Artistry.

This was such a happy day back in September last year ๐๏ธ and I absolutely loved the mix of cultures from Aberdeen to England to South Africa to Austria to Sri Lanka it was such a beautiful day bringing so many people together ๐ฅฐ Nicole was such a wonderful relaxed bride and even at the trial she brought her groom to be along but he wore a hat in the studio as to not totally see ๐คฃ and I honestly could have chatted to them all day!!
