For anyone that knows me, knows Makeup Artistry is my passion 🎨 and it has been for 14+ years now!! Even then back in high school I remember being the girl that would come in with purple smokey eyeshadow and whichever free STICKY af lip gloss I got out of magazines 🤣 I lived and breathed different types of makeup - moving to Glasgow to pursue special fx, theatre etc. Life didn’t go the exact route I thought it would (famous film MUA 😂) but no one knows what road lies ahead. I had to drop everything to move home and care for my mum who had cancer. When she passed away I felt numb and put makeup at the back of my mind - I had to get a job and earn money not dream anymore. But as the years went on, changing jobs, having children, gaining a teaching position and getting back into that creative mind set and working with fellow creatives it’s made me who I am today. This will consist of 𝗢𝗡𝗘 evening 𝟯 hours per week in the UHI. This will include 𝟰 units in total, covering Day makeup and Basic Corrective makeup, Bridal and Evening makeup and Contemporary makeup. The units chosen focuses on specific makeup styles that the students will learn, as well as learning on young and mature skin, corrective techniques and creating glamorous fashion makeup. This evening course will provide SQA credits and the skills in the key aspects of makeup that can lead them directly into further progression with Makeup Artistry. Sounds good? #𝕄𝕌𝕄𝕠𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪 - ℍ𝕠𝕨 𝕥𝕠 𝕔𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕓𝕝𝕖𝕞𝕚𝕤𝕙𝕖𝕤 (𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕝𝕒𝕤𝕥!) . ᴘʀᴏᴅᴜᴄᴛꜱ ᴜꜱᴇᴅ: KVD Beauty good apple concealer Illamasqua skin base concealer pen IT Cosmetics CC foundation (as good as it looks) Huda Beauty loose powder Illamasqua skin pressed compact powder . Watch on application. For extra info I have already applied my SPF moisturiser. This method suits my skin but may be different to you because of your skin type. If you have red irritable spots/blemishes or a yellow sallow looking skin you can use a colour correction product to counteract this. IE green concealer/primer to neutralise redness, or lilac/purple concealer/primer to neutralise yellow and to brighten *OR* stick with CC creams/foundations. CC stands for Colour Correction. I recommend @itcosmeticsuki CC foundation, and if you have bumpy texture and would like to try smooth it more I recommend @makeupforever Smoothing Primer or high street @revolutionpro Blur Line Filler pot. These can minimise pores, mattify the skin, help smooth over bumps and combat oil. Remember I don’t use any filters either. This technique can work for anyone, as long as it’s a creamy kohl pencil you are using as then it will be easy to smudge a soft liner look.
