As Matt Damon said in The Martian… ‘solve one problem at a time.’ So that’s what I did. When learning these skills I’ve got to be steady. Today I learnt how to get battens drilled into the wall straight and level in all directions working around lots of plug sockets. It’s all good and didn’t take too long. One step closer… out for a walk with G now…

It’s a whole new studio coming… for those who’ve been on the 30 Day Vegan Home Cook course, you’ll be familiar with the studio as it was… today begins work to transform into a studio suitable for live streaming and also in-person cookery lessons and cookery retreats… I’m doing the work myself and will be using reclaimed / vintage materials as much as possible. Here we go, mega-exciting and Wickes for wall, floor, roof insulation here o come!! Love a new skill!!
Work in progress – freshly cooked super easy and healthy air fryer falafel on a spinach purée with pickled red onion and zesty yoghurt. All these elements are make-ahead which makes for easy delicious lunches. Served on a flat bread that was simply rolled around the filling once the photo was taken...
I will be Live demonstrating how to make the 5 elements of this dish w/b 15/4.

Heathen Vegan
Heathen Vegan began mid-2018 and operated The Supper Club at our quirky home-based restaurant serving creative higher-end vegan three-course set menus. We also catered for private events, and served lovely homemade curries at The New Union and The Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal.
When we started, we didn't set out to get five star reviews all round but we did and were humbled by them.
After the events of March 2020, we decided to do a little stop and consider our next move quite carefully given a totally new set of operational challenges and economic conditions.
Heathen Vegan Gourmet Home Delivery and our Packaging Collect service is our response to the new normal and we hope very much that you will become or continue to be part of our story.
