First dances are such a special tradition. They are a moment to really take a pause and soak in the day. But, if the song is a long one, it can start to feel awkward. We still can’t get over how stunning Alyssa and Clayton’s signage was at their Diamond Cross Ranch wedding. Alyssa did them all herself, most by hand! She showed up like a dream with everything organized and labeled. It made our job so much easier! Trust us, you don’t want to be stressing to get a copy of your ceremony script or readings moments before you walk down the aisle! Luckily, that didn’t happen here. We just wanted an excuse to share these beautiful shots of Sydney + Kirk’s summer wedding at Frye Lake. The weather rolled in just as the ceremony started and created the most beautiful, moody backdrop. Pure magic for this delightfully sweet couple! ⚡️🌩️ We have a separate post on the most beautiful display of wedding guest love from this same wedding. We always print a special timeline for friends and family — separate from our vendor timeline. The bridal party and family typically get ready with the bride and groom and arrive early for photos. Providing a timeline helps them feel comfortable knowing when and where they need to be and it lets you set your phone down on your wedding day to be in the moment! (Second photo by 😍)

Gather Events Co. is growing! We’re looking to expand our team in Lander and in Jackson Hole. We’re searching for an Associate Planner! This would be part time starting at 2 hours per week to start training, adding hours once the wedding season books up. The perfect person for this role is someone who: is able to handle many details at the same time, has a good sense of humor in difficult moments, and is a great problem solver on the fly! New out newest addition to the team! Hannah will be behind the scenes at all our events this summer! Hannah was born and raised in Lander, Wyoming. She attended the University of Wyoming, and graduated with a Bachelors of Psychology in May 2021. She spent the remainder of 2021 living in Southern Mexico, but has since returned to the US to enjoy another beautiful Wyoming summer.
She loves to spend time outside, and also enjoys traveling, reading, and being with friends. Her obvious skills include being detail oriented, flexible, and passionate, but her hidden talent is making any ordinary day into an occasion. We’re thrilled to have her on the team!

What can we say, we live for a mix-matched bridesmaid dress situation 😍💃🏻

We love the way a wedding brings out all the special things. The broach that grandma hasn’t dusted off for 30 years. That old suit your uncle wears to every special occasion. The bride’s homecoming dress that the MOB wore for the “something blue/old” (yes, that was in one of our weddings last year, and it was fabulous!) All the things that get to have a special night.
For Adrianne and Calvin’s wedding, it was this beautiful vintage car, Vernie Sue. 😍 A 1965 Plymouth Valiant that was Adrianne’s grandma’s first car! As little kids, Adrianne and her sisters used to ride in the back seat (with no seatbelts!), bouncing up and down saying "Go, Gramma, go!"
When her grandma stopped driving, she gave it to Adrianne. It was in pretty rough shape having sat many years in the sun. She became little project car for Adrianne and her dad. She drove Vernie Sue all through high school, and out to Missouri for college. She even dropped Calvin off for his first day of work at Albertson's (back in high school, loooong before they ever started dating). When she took a job in Kansas City post-college, they decided the car wasn't quite suited for the city, so she stayed at Adrianne’s parents, where her dad proceeded to spruce her up even more, and now enjoys taking her to car shows.
Adrianne knew she had to be a part of her wedding and was so grateful her dad went out of his way to make it happen. Adrianne loved the photos Sydney and Maggie captured with her!
