“I'll never be over it 😍
My original plan for my birthday dinner was to just find a cool restaurant here in NY and do a small dinner with friends…...& that plan obviously escalated I came across NoMo SoHo] penthouse through a friend and was literally blown away when I went to see it. You can book out the whole space for a group, they cater the food, provide a full bar and the sunset views are just incredible. It was an absolute dream!!
Then with about two weeks to go, I found & .floralsnyc who genuinely couldn't have been more amazing if they tried. I sent them an inspo picture and when I walked into the space that evening after they had everything set up... I was just speechless. From the table settings to the balloons to the tiniest of details - everything was absolute perfection. They made my night so special and I honestly couldn't recommend them enough if you're ever planning an event. Love love supporting businesses like this.”

I'm just back from another fantastic and truly memorable trip to Ireland.

Being able to celebrate my engagement to Matthew O'Connell was the highlight of the trip as we were showered with love from family and friends, and gathered for a beautiful pre-wedding blessing at Tahilla Church, in my beloved Sneem, Co Kerry, where I spent my childhood summers. It was truly special.

Our engagment photo shoot with Sally MacMonaglehad us falling in love with beautiful Ireland all over again. The stunning backdrop of the Kerry mountains and water provided for so many magical moments to be captured as we trailed the Ring of Kerry on our adventure photoshoot.

Back in NY now and fully recharged! I cannot wait until our fall wedding comes to life!

We are so delighted to announce that our stunning director Sarah was swept off her feet this week by her dapper beau Matt! He got down on one knee during a beautiful sunset walk on the beach and popped the question! A complete surprise to Sarah!

The great news is… SHE SAID YES ! THEY ARE ENGAGED 🍾

During this live we’ll touch on navigating getting married in Ireland from the legals to the locations. We’re taking you through all the steps to have your big day in Ireland and how to get organised in advance. Alison will talk about what her ceremonies look like and how she might fit into your bespoke celebration.

We have followed Alison for a long time and believe she is one of the best wedding celebrants you can look to for your big day! Who will be tuning in on Wednesday?

📋 Sarah’s top tips for choosing your event photographer 📸

No matter what your event is, unless it is captured by a professional, you miss out on the opportunity to relive it over and over again! It is important to do your research for your wedding photography and/or videography plan. First try to determine what your favorite style is:

Traditional - eye level/posed/timeless

Photojournalistic - candid/documentary style

Editorial- magazine photoshoot style with high end/luxury feel

Dark & Moody- photograph with shadows/creative with lighting

Aerial- Drones! We love drones and if you are getting married on a farm such as farm, this is the perfect way to capture full scope of your wedding day.

Light & Airy- Fine Art style with bright/softer/cleaner images
Black & White- this editing option is available with any style of photography you choose, it’s ideal for the emotional moments.

Landscape- Ideal for mountains/water destinations. Very popular in Ireland on couple adventure shoots.

For weddings, part of choosing your photo/video package is based on the amount of hours you want captured. This can be stressful for couples financially and also they don’t want to miss out on the cocktail hour fun with family and friends!
My personal recommendation is do to do a first look with bridal party photos before the ceremony (especially if on site like Geer Mountain Farm). It is a nice way to have a private moment with your future Mr or Mrs, and is great for capturing emotional moments. This allows for the couple to be more relaxed for the ceremony and enjoy more time after to celebrate their nuptials.
