12 years | 144 months | 4383 days | 105192 hours | 6311520 minutes | 378691200 seconds...

That is how long 𝗜 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗦𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗙𝗙 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗠𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗦.😅

Lets take the 𝗩𝗘𝗜𝗟.

It doesn’t matter how much your gorgeous hair dresser attaches it to your head... if it’s blowing you (NOTE: we live in the in the opposite direction mid ceremony we need a DRP* (𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘯) to get it out!

𝗛𝗢𝗧 𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦 & 𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗦:

👉🏼 Wear it down the aisle baby!

👉🏼 Your Call ~ it’s in your hands whether you have had enough of your veil in the 🌬or not. You are in control. We aren’t going to step in until you say so.

👉🏼 Wedding Crew ~ DO NOT try & ‘hold the veil down’. It actually makes it worse creating a ‘sail’ catching the wind rather than letting it ‘fly’.

👉🏼 When you (closest to the veil AKA the ‘veil keeper’) get the pre-discussed ‘signal’ from the wearer that means ‘get this outta my head!

👉🏼 The ‘VK’ will then smile back, slowly, at graceful and stealth like action will move (behind you) & take that veil out of your head acting like this is the exact moment we rehearsed it coming out!

👉🏼 The ‘VK’ will then roll that veil up (because if it’s that windy they are going to have to) & hold behind their backs for the rest of the ceremony. All this happening as I continue the ceremony engaging with everyone who are blissfully unaware that a DRP* has been actioned.

👉🏼 Then while we are signing the documents I (with my extensive knowledge of veil combs) will shove that puppy back in your head (I EVEN WEAR BOBBY PINS AS EXTRAS IN MY PONY TO SECURE YOURS!) so it’s there for your walk back up the aisle.

So, it's my job to go through 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 with you 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 your ceremony, whilst on the day having the ability (via your very own secret pre determined signal to me) to 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘢 𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘮, throw them a '𝘤𝘩𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘶𝘱', or in this case a '𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘰𝘹 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘴' with my little mate Reed! ♥️

I made the decision a long time ago (*𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 '𝘐𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘰𝘥𝘴' 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘸𝘦𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 / 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘳) that if I ever was a celebrant I would ‘stand aside’.

Why? Because you are spending 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙙𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙨 on a photographer and you do not want to get your precious ceremony photos back with ‘𝘮𝘺 𝘮𝘶𝘨’ in between each 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 you share!

𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱.

Secondly, the ability to ‘blend’. You have most likely spent 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 of how your big day will look? Right?!

So, You will find me asking 𝗬𝗢𝗨 what you would like me to wear with the suggestion that I match the wedding crew, I am standing with. 🙌🏼

You won’t find me in bold colours or prints taking away from the 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥. I 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘥.

𝗢𝗛 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗩𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗦. 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗠. 🙌🏼

𝘍𝘶𝘯 𝘍𝘢𝘤𝘵: In Perth, the afternoon breeze isn't just called the 'Fremantle Doctor' for the relief it brings on hot summer days, but I think it means you could put your neck out & need to see a Doctor if it really takes a hold of your veil! 🌬

It doesn't matter how much your gorgeous hair dresser attaches it to your head... if it's blowing you uncomfortably in the opposite direction mid ceremony we need a DRP* (𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘯 *𝘛𝘔 𝘵𝘰 𝘉𝘊 🙊) to get it out!

𝗛𝗢𝗧 𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦 & 𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗦:

👉🏼 Wear it down the aisle baby!

👉🏼 Brides Call ~ it's in your hands whether you have had enough of your veil in the 🌬or not. You are in control. We aren't going to step in until you say so.

👉🏼 Wedding Crew ~ DO NOT try & 'hold the veil down'. It actually makes it worse creating a 'sail' catching the wind rather than letting it 'fly'.

👉🏼 When you (closest to the veil AKA the 'veil keeper') get the pre-discussed 'signal' from the bride (I suggest a big smile and a 😉 from the brides over the shoulder) that means 'get this outta my head!

👉🏼 The 'VK' will then smile back, slowly, at graceful and stealth like action will move (behind you) & take that veil out of your head acting like this is the exact moment we rehearsed it coming out!

👉🏼 The 'VK' will then roll that veil up (because if it's that windy they are going to have to) & hold behind their backs for the rest of the ceremony. All this happening as I continue the ceremony engaging with everyone who are blissfully unaware that a DRP* has been actioned.

👉🏼 Then while we are signing the documents I (with my extensive knowledge of veil combs) will shove that puppy back in your head so it's there for your walk back up the aisle. #𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵🙌🏼

Pre-ceremony hugs & kisses lead to jacket and shirt disaster! When makeup wearers (and we wear a lot to weddings!) go in for the inevitable 'hello' hug & kiss, it's not the lipstick on your face that worries us, but as 𝗦𝗢𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗝𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗧 𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗧...𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥.

She might think 'I'm worth it' but trust me, your Aunt can wait until after the ceremony. NB: I can make a pretty cool Kevin if one of your wedding crew isn't up for it. 😜

✖️Buy and bring 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗧𝗦.

👉🏼One that you wear on 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 | 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 | 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 with typically your jacket on top. With your body guard you are 'safe' until after the ceremony.

👉🏼 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 ~ particulary if you are doing 'congratulations' take that jacket off! Let the cuddles (AKA foundation attack) hit that shirt all up! Then pop your 'safe' jacket 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗻 & go get those post ceremony pictures 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘀 and not like a foundation minion!🧡

👉🏼 Then here's the cracker ~ change your 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Be gone your foundation marked / nervy sweaty shirt and you will feel 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄! It's like the shower you never had! You are now ready to take that jacket off & hit that dance floor hard! 🕺🏼💃🏽

Right, I'm going to mix it up a little. I'm going to be sharing a series of hot tips and wedding tricks with you! ♥️

So let's get the first cab off the ranks...

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗗𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘?

Take it from me, you do not need to be at your venue an hour before the ceremony starts (I will be there then, so you don't have to be!) 🙌🏼

If you have been tasked with standing at the end of the aisle waiting for your love and you are one of those people who are always on time 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝟏𝟓 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 'game time' is perfect! 👊🏼

You 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 want to do an hour of 'greetings' before the ceremony, standing oddly around, nerves taking over by the second, all while having to make small talk to your 'Aunty cousins dogs girlfriend' right?! Nope. Hard pass. 🙄

𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝟏𝟓 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲:

🕑I (your doting celebrant) will be the first face you see calming all the nerves!

🕖 Pat down - all devices, wallets and sun glasses are given to me for safe keeping until after the ceremony. No bulging pockets here!

🕤Then you will be equipped with mentos and tissues by yours truly.

🕛 90% of people have no idea how to / where to put the flower button hole. Allow me to fix them all up and square them off.

On our wedding day she not only 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 our ceremony, she also helped re-organise our seating plan, and kept both Andrew and I 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘅𝗲𝗱.
Andrew and I were both nervous about the ceremony but she honestly helped those nerves go away, and 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆.
Every single person we spoke to after the ceremony 𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗱 about her and commented on how great she was at telling our story.
My sister in law has said multiple times that when she gets married she wants Belinda to be her celebrant (and she’s not even engaged yet!).

Imagine this...You arrive at your friend’s engagement party @coreciderweddings , but that looks a lot like an arbour, chairs like that..ahhh.. . *𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗠* (Arriving guests go from shock to elation!) 💥 . This is my mate Cam and we are on our way to the ceremony space to formally announce to their loved ones that Cam is so 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 '𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵' to marry the love of his life Jenny, so he is going to do it 𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗪. 🙌🏼 . In 𝗛𝗜𝗦 words: It's '𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗬 𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗬' when you have me right by your side. Seriously. 👆🏻 . In 𝗛𝗘𝗥 words: 'Wow! You are truly amazing at what you do. An 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁. You kept me calm through the whole process and reminded me to enjoy the day. The text in the morning when the nerves had kicked in full swing was exactly what I needed "𝗕𝗔𝗕𝗘 𝗜 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸" it felt like you had known us forever. Seeing you when I first opened that limosine door put me at me at 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲. So many compliments from our guests they said you were so 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆, 𝗳𝘂𝗻, 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱, 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝘃𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴. It left me teary and humbled as I hopped out of my car at Chapel Farm to marry another couple in what continues to be an incredible season...✨ . I spent last FrIday (and the last year) with Jess, Kris, their beautiful daughter, families and friends bringing their 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗪𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗜𝗧. ❤️ . 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘... We all have ridden this 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 of emotions in our beautiful and troubled world we have lived in for years now, always looking for the pockets of 𝗷𝗼𝘆 and 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 when we can. I have first hand rode those 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 with my couples. I have felt privileged for being the first point of call for them.I have 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 their 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀.I have 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 their 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.I have 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 their 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.I have 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 their 𝗮𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆.I 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱, because I understand what it was like to make choices that aren’t necessarily yours and be separated from the ones you love. Those 𝗽𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 in such strange times finally came to our doorstep on the weekend in 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, when my family (well my sneaky parents knew!) and I did not expect it...clearly 🙌🏼.
