Such a pleasure to do some filming for Kathy this morning during this booked out performance at the Koorliny Arts Centre Kwinana A performance that was at times clearly emotional for Kathy when she was performing songs that had been written by her Father. It was a great show that everyone enjoyed.

I've had some time over the past few of days for a little creativity and I do enjoy doing this sort of thing :-)

My very first camera was one of these, a Christmas or birthday present in the mid 70s from Mum and Dad, and I can remember the rotating flash cubes that gave four flashes before being discarded.. This example was given to me and I doubt I could get a film cartridge for it these days...

I think this was my favorite shot from Saturday night and changing it to a monotone image gave it that photojournalism look that captures raw, unfiltered moments, and can tell a complete story, offering characters, and a sense of time and place. summarizing complex situations succinctly.

Still working though the last set of promotional shots for Kathy… She just gets better and better :-)

The home stretch of this great project with these awesome people.....

With all the other photography finished this shows what went down at Boulder Rock early Saturday morning as around 65 people bared all for the Calendar cover shot. only made possible with the help of many many volunteers.

Now that the concert is over I can share the complete rehearsal clip of "If you could read my mind" Keep in mind that a full house at the performance soaked up alot of the reverb and it sounded amazing. Especially with the passing of Gordon Lightfoot last week it is worth listening to just for the beautiful string arrangement by Rachel John from the Classic Sounds Orchestra Association

This is just a tiny little sneak peek from a rehearsal at the Minnawarra Park Chapel for the "Melt into Music" concert coming up on the 6th of May. I think this is going to be better than last year 😃
