Lots going on here. A @reevethebaker cinnamon twist from @toogoodtogo.uk warmed up in the panini press. I’m having half in the style of @nyreedardarian #shareameal. Sharing it with my current self and the other half for my future self.
Most bakery items and all fats taste better when warm. So if you warm up these items you either a) get more satisfaction from a given warm portion than the same cold portion, or b) get the same satisfaction from a smaller warm portion than from the full sided room temperature portion.
Plus warming up like this improves the texture. In this case making it crunchy. 😋
Warming up hugely improves the satisfaction level of baked goods. Warming in a microwave produces steam which invariably makes the baked good soggy, which is a turn off. So my solution is to warm up in a panini press. Only a minute so it’s quick and uses very little power.
Win-win!
Often the nutrition control is primarily about portion control.

Delicious food need not be complicated.
And here’s a tip if food is delicious then you will usually be satisfied with the eating experience, and therefore not be tempted to snack before the next meal.
The trick with eating delicious food is to eat when you are hungry and to stop when 80% full.

What chefs eat. Usually chefs eat leftovers.
Diced potatoes and red onions fried in rosemary olive oil and smoked salt. Then leftover cooked veg, leftover roast chicken and leftover red wine.
Plus a big dollop of @maille mustard.

This marks the start of our eleventh season cooking for footballers in the premier league.
Many miles driven, many miles flown. Many, many shopping trips, many tables set, many floors mopped.
So many styles of cooking. So many trips to the butchers.
Many meals consumed by smiling faces. Many nationalities cooked for. Many, many dietary requirements. Many many goals scored, many points won. Many competitions won (including the big ones AND that one too 😜).
It’s amazing to think of all the players and families who we have helped enjoy the nutritional guidance from their performance nutritionist.
And after ten seasons the amazing offers keep on finding their way to us.
Thank you everyone who has helped and supported us over the last decade.
