It’s been about 2 weeks since this event happened but we still can’t wipe the smile off of our faces. We were able to pull off our biggest production yet and brought out one of our favorite producers and humans, for an ethereal night of dancing under the moonlight surrounded by lush jungle.

It was a long time coming, reuniting with Tigerbalm (Rose) after having her in SF about 6 years ago. Bringing her out to Sayulita playing at our favorite venue, .mexico was a dream come true and it all happened so organically. We loved every moment of this process and the magic of the night reflected the intention that everyone put into it. Massive thank you to for jumping in last minute and adding the icing to the cake in what was already a beautiful night. Also, big thanks to for getting us started with some warm grooves that set the vibe.

As always, the crowd was beautiful, the system sounded better than ever and the dance floor felt exceptionally lovely all night long. Our first big show for 2024 is in the books and we can’t wait for our next gathering at Nahual with one of our biggest influences and favorite DJ’s, on March 9th. We’ll be going bigger and better than ever before for that one and we can’t wait to show you all what we have up our sleeve ;)

In solidarity with the people, especially the women and girls of Iran who are courageously risking their lives in fight for freedom, we would like to call for unity and support of the community to raise awareness about the current events. Over the past month, Iranian women and young teenage girls have been at the forefront of deathly protests advocating for their basic human rights. These protests have sparked as a result of the killing of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini who was killed by Iran’s morality police due to their disapproval of the way she was wearing her head scarf. This is not just an Iran issue. This is a call for unity to awareness on issues of basic human rights. The likes of which we have seen close to us with Roe v Wade and police brutality on the black community. Let’s support the courageous Iranian women who are making history with their fight for basic freedom by being their voice. The Iranian Government has been shutting down internet access in attempts to silence people and hide its crimes against humanity. Western media has done a lackluster job of covering these events, therefore individuals and organizations around the world have taken matters into their own hands to raise awareness and show solidarity.
Let’s stand up and support our Iranian friends by being their voice, sharing news about what is happening in iran.

We’ve made a lot of special memories in this space and it’s actually the first place we played a club gig (thanks ). So we’re really excited to return after about 3 years or so and with a fresh new concept and one of our favorite dj’s, 🤌🏽
If you’re not familiar with AIDA, you should be. She’s been crushing dance floors across the world with her potent selections, smooth vinyl transitions and contagious energy. She’s just getting back from a nice stint in Europe where she recently played the Panorama Bar at the legendary in Germany and we’re sure she’s picked up lots of fresh heat out there as well. We’ve had the pleasure of having her play at the Never Sleep Again x GrooveWell campout and it was one of our favorite sets of the weekend, so with all that said, we’re really excited to see what she’ll have in store for us this time around :)
The loft is always a fun space to get creative with in terms of decoration and I’m sure that turning it into a tripped out black light sanctuary won’t disappoint at all 🔮

TL;DR - GrooveWell reunion party all night this Friday the 14th at @monarchsf 🔊🎶 • It’s pretty wild to think that we packed up our lives and moved to Sayulita over a year ago. So much has transpired since then and we definitely got the adventure that we were seeking. Lots of growth, lots of challenges, lots of new friends, lots of tacos and a ton of new music. • After a surprisingly smooth 4 day pilgrimage back to the SF Bay, it feels extremely satisfying to be back home and getting settled in. There’s a lot more reflecting to be done and plenty more to be said, but we’ll save that for a later post. Most importantly; we’re gathering up the fam and taking over one of our favorite places, @monarchsf for a good ol’ fashioned reunion on the dance floor 💃🏽 • The night will be extra special with not 1 but 2 birthdays happening! Our dear friend @kaelirenae will be kicking things off upstairs and celebrating her bday in style before handing over the decks to the coolest/sexiest dj we know, @macarena.wav before the official cousin of GrooveWell @dj_anuknocka finishes things off with a proper bday set in everyone’s favorite lounge. You can find the GrooveWell squad cooking downstairs all night long as we share a ton of new sounds that we’ve been collecting while we’ve been gone. After an epic season of memorable events at our favorite venues throughout Sayulita, we are closing it out with a fitting grand finale, joining forces with our good homies @grooves.bay for a proper send off before we head back to the San Francisco Bay and @nahual.mexico closes for the low season. • We’ll be pulling out all the stops for this one with a solid lineup featuring Groove’s Bay residents @nanp.musik and @mattzaiz as well as Mexico’s finest @mikemontano_mx (La vie en Rose / Blind Vision), a DJ, Producer and pioneer of the Mexican electronic music scene. GrooveWell will be holding it down with sets from @fusion_gw, @j._.key and a special birthday set from @ledepic to top it off. • Festivities will start at 4pm downstairs with music and drinks as we feature a Mercado de Arte showcasing local artisans as well as a some of our favorite local food vendors. The evening continues with sunset on the rooftop and a full lineup of music that’s going all night long. As always, the high fidelity heartbeat of the night will be supplied by @tractionsound and beautiful flower decor by @solrisecollective. Come boogie with us one more time before we head out and enjoy another memorable night under the stars ✨
A little bit over a month ago we had an absolute blast being invited out to play at San Diego’s legendary @themustachebash festival. The whole experience exceeded our expectations and it was a beautiful homecoming for 4 best friends who all met in San Diego over 20 years ago. • The crowd was amazing and everyone had such great vibes all throughout the day. The layout and overall production was extremely well executed throughout the venue and you could really tell that the organizers cared about all the small details 🤌🏽 • Huge thanks to @jeromesavino, @discotoshi and all the other badasses involved for having us and creating such a fun event 👊🏽✨
What a night and what a vibe 🤩👌🏽✨ • A lot of pieces had to fall into place to pull off this season opener at @nahual.mexico and the premier of our new @tractionsound rig, but with a lot of love and effort, everyone involved came together and created our best party yet since we’ve arrived in this magical area 🌴 • Endless gratitude to everyone who participated in the creation of this memorable night. ☀️SUNSET CAMPOUT 2023☀️ For years we’d heard the rumors about a next level event in Northern California where the legendary @sunsetsoundsystem crew takes over the entire town of Belden along the Feather River and for three days and turns it into an underground dance music wonderland with world class curation, sound, lighting, decor and a rare level of intention that stands out beyond all other events…. We’ll we can certainly confirm that the rumors are true and although it may have taken us a while to finally attend this staple of west coast dance culture, we made sure to fully embrace and absorb every moment we could of this labor of love 🔊🤗🔊 We’ve never been so honored to be invited to play an event like we were for this one. The amount of respect and love that we have for this crew is huge and knowing all of the difficulties that had to be overcome to make this event happen just adds to our already massive respect that we have for everyone involved. Everything about this experience was special. We truly felt like we were at home with such a strong since of hospitality and family vibes from everyone we interacted with. Opening the river stage on Saturday will forever be one of our greatest memories as a collective. This meant so much to us and we wanted to make sure that we matched the river stage vibe while keeping true to our sound that we’ve been cultivating. It made for a truly memorable affair and we can’t express how grateful we are for the opportunity 🙏🏽 Endless thank you to @galensunset for being a real role model in community leadership and also one of our favorite dj’s. Thank you for seeing us at sharing in a memorable B2B campout experience that connected the vibes properly. That morning with Galen-> @therealeddiec was heavenly.
