Came home from work and spent a couple of hours on the decks playing 89-91 rave. So easy to forget how much fun that is. Got a vinyl gig on Sunday and I'm doing a mash up of Electro, Acid House and early Rave at the wedding of one of my dearest bro's who's one of the most insanely talented people I know. I say wedding, I think it's some alternative tree hugging hippy type arrangement where people stand in a circle, which actually sounds rather cool. I'm thinking of throwing some Stonehenge shapes.

What a weird weekend for DJing this will be. Friday night - 80s at Rubys at the Grand. Saturday afternoon/early evening - Madisons house and rave set 4-8 for one of my former Mads partners' 60th party and then Trilogy Nightclub Southampton disco/party room 11:30- 4am. Musically the most all over the place weekend of my life! Sunday could be fairly unsociable as days go. lol

So finally committed to NYE at Rubys at the Grand, which after last year I'm really happy about. Great staff and a top quality product as venues that i've worked in go. I'm trying to get my favourite DJ/DJ sparring partner to confirm for upstairs at The Grand and if I do (I think I will) it's going to be an insane night, probably one of the nights I'll be most proud of doing in my life. (other than virtually every night at the basement and Madisons obvs. lol)

No shortage of utter cretins dissing the idea of Breaking being in the olympics yet seemingly ok with synchronised swimming. It seems the footage on youtube can't be played in the UK but this shows you who was in the men's contest and a taste of what you saw in the games. TBH I saw better stuff in the games.
