The Teddington Summer Music Festival Teddington Summer Music is an annual festival featuring a series of uplifting and accessible classical music concerts held in different local venues.

Teddington Summer Music - An exciting new music festival, with three varied concerts taking place in three different venues during June 2013. Series no.1 concert details:


SATURDAY 1st JUNE: Serenade

The London Dvořák Ensemble, conducted by Tom Higgins, performs two of the greatest works ever composed for wind ensemble. Mozart’s Serenade No. 10 in Bb, K361 – the Gran Partita – is unique in scale

and in its depth and variety of musical expression; the glorious slow movement featured in the famous play Amadeus. Dvorak’s Serenade in D minor is a typically life-affirming piece, full of Czech colour and as exhilarating to play as it is to hear. DVORAK: Serenade in D minor, Op. 44

SATURDAY 8th JUNE: Summer Nights in Paris and Vienna

Rising star Louise Alder (soprano) and Gary Matthewman (piano) join Tony Lamb (clarinet) to perform music by Mozart, Schubert, Satie and Poulenc. MILHAUD: Duo Concertant (clarinet & piano)

The Richmond Symphonic Concert Band, under their conductor Tom Higgins, perform an evening of popular British Light Music including works by Sir Arthur Sullivan, Eric Coates, Montague Phillips, Kenneth Alford and Teddington-born Noël Coward. ALFORD: March, On the Quarter Deck
