A question Iâve been asked more than once over the last several months is âare you still in business?â The short answer is yes I am.
Iâve been taking clients by referral only because while I love what I do, I am my own worst critic. Imposter syndrome and myself âgo together real badâ, as Miami put it. Our relationship has affected my motivation to advertise my business online or really anywhere else. Afraid that if I actually book something that my passion for what I do wonât be enough, and my skill set will fall short. Leaving a dissatisfied client. And the self doubt in my head screaming I told you so.
So Iâve been working on it in silence. Doing two or three Pink Dahlia things a month, keeping my creativity going even if just my kids class or team parties. But Iâve recently found some new motivation. Turns out a good tongue lashing from a friend, reminding me who I am while she fixed my crown đ was exactly what I needed to ignite my confidence to break into my archives and start building content.
