Rebeka Molnar (she/her) is a Set Designer of the MALOdiversary company.

“What really fascinates me in theatre is storytelling. Theatre is an endless conversation throughout eras, between societies, audiences, and most importantly: people. As an aspiring designer, I'm really interested in working with motifs allegories and symbols and translating them into visuals. I know what it feels like when words fail you and how important design is dramaturgically.
As someone who moved to the UK from Eastern Europe 3 years ago, I had to re-shape the way I was watching shows and I was lucky enough to see so many amazing and clever designs that helped me through as an audience member until I developed my language skills. I'm endlessly grateful to these theatre designers and I would be delighted to follow in their footsteps one day.”

The smell of the theatre backstage gives me goosebumps, the spotlight brings me frantic satisfaction, and the adrenalin that comes during the performance is inexplicable.
Acting is about selflessly giving yourself to something bigger than all of us: art.
It is a connection. Emotions. Stories.

We’re excited to invite you to Project X Noise Festival, the graduate showcase of 3rd Year Theatre students at Middlesex University. The festival showcases the work of emerging theatre artists from the MDX BA Theatre Performance and Production/BA Theatre Design and Production. Two newly formed theatre companies with diverse team members will explore the current relevant topics and the theme of noise. We do hope you can come and support the third year students and look forward to welcoming you!

The event will take place on the following dates:

Tuesday 10th May 1pm & 7pm at Ravensfield Theatre (MDX University)

Wednesday 11th May 5pm at Dance Theatre (MDX University)

Two companies will present original pieces of theatre that will demonstrate their talent and skills that were honed over the course of their studies.

Some Things by MALOdiversary
Some Things reflects upon the mental noise that is inevitably created in everyday situations, allowing you to enter a mindful-kaleidoscope reality.
Some Things, significant events or individuals can reflect upon mental noise no matter how the person experiences the volume of each given situation, whatever the age and circumstance. If you want to see a mindful-kaleidoscope of realness, done in a relatable way…sit down, wanna cuppa or a pint? Here we go.

The Ant Experiment by UN[RULY]
The Ant Experiment is an exhibition of human behaviour, exploring fragments of memories and snapshots of life. The characters on stage will relive moments from their past; moments of connection, disconnection, control and individuality, as they’re observed by an outsider.
Let yourself be drawn in by this display of the noise of existence.

“ I like telling stories. Always did, always will. It didn’t matter if it was playing pretend in my backyard or later on in the theatre. I never knew what to do. I was too indecisive, so I became anything I could in theatre. Pursuing theatre in London has been the best decision I ever made. And I can’t wait for the new stories and experiences that lie ahead. As an actor and as a writer.”

“I have always struggled to put my finger on exactly what it is about theatre that inspires me, what exactly it is that I’m passionate about. It’s just a feeling, I guess. The rush that comes from creating something that touches people, that could make a difference, that pushes boundaries and inspires others. As a performer and designer I like to create wonderfully strange but beautiful imagery, that leaves the audience with more questions than answers.”
