We are so ready for the color of the spring and summer! It’s been mighty cold here the last couple of days, it has us dreaming of fun, colorful palettes.

Still can’t get over this amazing day and all of the incredible vendors who helped make it happen! From the amazing bridal gown to the most incredible bar setup, we are truly over the moon.

We also created a custom floral basket seating chart which added the perfect texture to the natural vibe of the day.

The last 6 days have been a whirlwind of emotions. From excitement, to pure terror, back to excitement, and then to sadness at it being over. Rachel and I were nervous to be amongst so many amazing artists, but everyone made us feel right at home. We learned so many things from these people and we are so grateful for the new friendships that we’ve made.

Although we were nervous about coming to Art in Bloom, we are so proud of the work that we did and the effort that we put into creating a piece that captured the work of Massimo 400 years ago. Finding inspiration in the “The Assumption of the Virgin” and interpreting it in a modern viewpoint was challenging but rewarding. We can’t wait to do it all again next year.

With so many moving parts to a wedding and so many vendors involved, it is easy for someone to interpret what you want differently. Mood boards allow for a cohesive look that can be achieved by all of your vendors. This is a great place to start when you are planning your wedding. It can be 4 pictures or just a hodgepodge of ideas on your Pinterest. Mood boards are the perfect stepping stone to finding the vendors that fit the vibe that you are looking for as well. Repurposing florals for your wedding day can cut down on your floral cost by a lot. Here are three ways to do that: 1-Aisle runners can be moved to your reception tables during cocktail hour to become centerpieces. This is my favorite way to add a pop of color down the aisle while also allowing for you to have a beautiful piece for your guests to see while they eat. 2- Broken arch/arch- These are so gorgeous at the end of your aisle so let’s move them to your reception too! Arches look perfect behind sweetheart tables to frame you and your partner. 3- Statement pieces- This can be so many things! Many couples want a large statement piece at the beginning of the aisle or as guests walk in. These can be repurposed almost anywhere in your reception. Whether you want them in front of your sweetheart table or even around your bar.

Something about the simplicity of neutrals 💚🤍🤎 Nature-focused weddings are some of my absolute favorites. The venue at the beautiful @emeraldridgenc speaks for itself but these natural arrangements were the perfect complement to this foggy day.
