Today I decided to honor 3 seniors in our church with a home cooked meal. Definitely wanted to make a difference today in honor of my deceased husband, Moses (his birthday) and also for Black History month. Definitely had to include fried chicken (Moses favorite). I just want to say that I am truly grateful for another day of life to honor and praise God for all he has done for me. Food: Fried chicken winglets, cabbage, mixed veggies, scallops potatoes, candied yams, cornbread muffins and Lemon Blueberry Loaf

Fried potatoes, fried winglets and broccoli, ham and bacon quiche……….my apartment had that special aroma in the air. I have a complete ball in my kitchen all by myself!!
There’s dancing, there’s praising and worship unto God who gives me the strength and the know how. Just grateful that blessed me to overcome and recognize the gift he placed in me. To God be the glory!

Per the request of a senior citizen that attended Sister Lindell’s memorial fellowship this past Sunday, I made this cake for the first time. Had not ever heard of this cake (Chicagoland Atomic Cake), but located it online. Made it and delivered it to her yesterday evening. She was amazed that I made it so quickly.
Made the same cake for Isaiah for his 21st birthday (with a different design).
