School Supply Drive, Pop-Up Fashion Boutique by Nicole Jackson, Dahlias Flower Bar, and Vintage Home Decor
Camp Opal is collecting School Supplies for Communities In School Seattle - Stuff the Bus initiative. This year CISS is focusing on supplies most needed for middle school students to succeed in their upcoming academic year. Support local youth by contributing new school supplies, hygiene items, and gift cards specified below.
Ever wish you could do back-to-school shopping as an adult? Well, shop a collection of pieces hand selected for Camp Opal by Seattle Stylist Nicole Jackson. As a believer in reuse, Nicole Jackson has built recycling into her brand DNA. She’ll be on hand to help you find the newest treasure you didn’t know you needed from a collection of new and gently worn resale clothing, accessories, and shoes.
Browse Camp Opal's Dahlia Floral Pop-Up and their collection of vintage home decor, and enjoy a glass of rosé from the SMEG fridge tap.
Dahlia Flower Bar, build your bouquet for $2 a stem and choose what you want and how many you want. Camp Opal can make an arrangement in one of the vintage vases for purchase or hand tie them and give them a wrap-up. No vase is needed!
CISS has identified specific items needed for student success and request all items donated are brand new.

Mechanical pencils and extra lead, Spiral Notebooks, Pencil pouches, Hand sanitizer, Earbuds, Universal planners, Sticky notes, Markers, Colored Pencils, Scissors, Wireless Mouse, Batteries (AA & AAA), Fidget toys
Hygiene Items: Toothbrush, Toothpaste (travel size), Deodorant (full size, non-aluminum), Chapstick, Lotion (travel size), Feminine Pads (Always Teen), Hair Ties, Laundry Detergent (liquid)

Camp Opal will be collecting school supplies from August 12 - 18.

Hot tip-The zucca from is on the shelves of , run don’t walk to go snag a box and a bottle of wine! (Yep wine! They carry that now 😎)
I did a take on Midnight Pasta from the New York Times.
A couple of tbsps of tomato paste added to a hot pan with a couple of tbsps of evoo. Stir to get it carmelized. Add a ton of garlic! (I did about 5 cloves 😬) and a good helping of red pepper flake, cook down while your pasta is boiling. Add a spoonful of pasta water to tomato paste and garlic and stir to create a sauce. I added a few more tablespoons of tomato paste here to pump up the tomato flavor. Add salt and pepper obvs. With a slotted spoon put the pasta in the pan your sauce is in and stir it up!
I added burrata but you can also do parm. And if you are caper fan toss some of those in your sauce too!

Well they look pretty...this dang snow!!! The parking lot and the surrounding streets are not good , so they are closed today.
I was able to drop some off , so if they are able to open today you can go get some there! But please be safe! It is crazy out there!

Well mother nature says cozy in and enjoy the snowy views! Todays flower pop up will have to wait. Hopefully...weather permitting I will drop some flowers off there tomorrow for you and will also have some available providing both places are able to open!
TBD but these flowers will still need to find a good home!!!
