We couldn't resist the opportunity to have PLO Man back for DOLLY with Overland and Dairy Free! A harmonious organization of some internationally trained bad asses.

Then we are ticking something insane off our bucket list! In collaboration with our dear old friend Nancy Dru (aka The Orchestrator) we bring a long time favourite, Efdemin, for the best night of the year 🎃

Nearly 10 years a teacher from school came with to see Efdemin and literally talked about it for the next 3 years. We can't imagine where else you'll want to be on Nov 2!

Last Saturday with Ploy, Coffintexts, Gateo and Adam 2 was epic af! Thanks to everyone who made it out, and to the DJs who SLAYED. What a lovely crowd it was 💘💘💘

Now the last of our 3 Dolly In The City's this summer is a show so vibey we can barely contain our elation!

Join us at .236 warehouse for 2 of New York City's legendary artists, Mike Servito and Bergsonist. Although more on the housey side, you can't peg either one of them into a single genre. They both dig deep into new and old crates for a classic sound with an interesting twist, ready to f u up on the dance floor. Prepare your bodies for this one!

For Adam 2, electronic music has always provided an opportunity for self-discovery, creative exploration, and personal liberation. Since 2016, the Vancouver-based producer and DJ has worn multiple hats in the city’s growing scene, fulfilling the roles of promoter, music curator, and co-founder of Techno label PPRZ. 

2020 saw the release of featured mixes on Honcho, Techno Hour of Power, and the creation of Afrofuturism is Now – a mix series amplifying the music of Black artists. In 2022/23 Adam 2 maintained their stride sharing the bill with Carlos Souffront, Shanti Celeste, and Objekt, had high profile performances at Basscoast and Domesicle in Montreal and releases on 3024, Amphiboly Records, Model Future and PPRZ. 

As Adam 2’s career gains momentum, they continue to build their reputation by transfixing audiences with evocative, experimental techno that intersects dynamic physicality and playful cerebralism.

(Miami) and finally Adam 2 closing the night! Gateo is BINKY, Brendocha & La PosmoBaby and
they'll be playing a 2 hour set (possibly even a bit longer!)

BINKY brings a vibrant mix of of Caribbean flavors to their performances, weaving hypnotic
sounds that reflect their authentic, sensual, self-expression. Their sultry beats, drawing from
Acid, Ballroom, Baile Funk, Dembow, and Techno, resonate with the essence of her Dominican
upbringing. As co-founder of GATEO, they uplift Q***r Latinx Fem artists, amplifying their voices
in the music scene.

Brendocha is a q***r DJ originally from Lima, Peru and currently residing on the ancestral lands
of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. She is the co-founder and
resident DJ of GATEO, a Q***r Latinx Femme collective curating events that highlight q***r
Latinx talent. Brendocha brings fast-paced and energetic sets that traverse through reggaeton,
cumbias Peruanas, Brazilian funk, aleteo and techno— captivating audiences with her cutting-
edge style.

La PosmoBaby is a DJ, transdisciplinary artist, workshop facilitator, and community organizer
from southeastern Mexico. She founded and hosts Caricias, a monthly radio show celebrating
femmes and enbys, and co-founded Gateo, a Latinx collective organizing events for Latin America
and diaspora q***rs in “Vancouver”.

Her DJ sets blend LatinCore rhythms with high-BPM erotica, incorporating vocals, percussion,
and melodies from Latin American music. This creates a unique sound with strong beats and
hard kicks that connect cultural expressions on the dance floor.

We are so damn excited to to see all these DJs together, all night long until sunrise in one of

Coming up this Saturday with DJ Voices and Diskonnected, 2 mind-blowing world-touring DJs bringing their daytime best at The Waldorf (Open Air) from 6pm to 10pm. Get there at 5pm for a chill opening set, a bite and a bevvy 🍹

We've created a fun and enclosed more intimate space for staying cool and getting lost in the music with horns and subs by - we can't wait to show you what we've been working on to make this lot party as vibey as possible while still having a very DIY presence (after all we do this without sponsors or grants!)

This Saturday we've got a smoking locals supporting lineup for Reptant with Night Jogger, RiDylan LIVE and Tee Noble!

The producer and DJ Night Jogger launches from Vancouver, BC with a sonic boom. Night Jogger’s high-energy productions transform the circle into a cube with direct fuel.

RiDylan’s high-energy live PA performances span a wide variety of old-school and new-school rave sounds. He references acid, jungle, techno, breakbeat, electro, breakcore, and IDM, and makes no apologies for relentlessly switching things up.

RiDylan has toured North America, Europe and Japan extensively, and is a Bangface Hardcrew Hero. He’s released music on standout labels such as C**k Rock Disco, Heterodox, Kitty on Fire, Planet Euphorique, PPRZ, and has contributed to several compilations. His most recent EP Switch 8 came out on Defunkt to much critical acclaim from music blogs and publications worldwide.

Tee Noble, born and raised on the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tslei-Waututh Nations, brings a DJ style that is heavily influenced by their ADHD, loving drums, bass and anything that makes people bounce.

It's New Years Eve, the best party of the year, and we can't believe we have such a crazy lineup for this one. Each time we had Carlos and PLO Man play in the past has been among the most fun Dolly parties we will never forget. And what a supporting lineup ❤️‍🔥 everyone brings the heat!

We’ve been waiting to update our community regarding our current status with the city of Vancouver. As most of you know we have a neighbour who has been making noise complaints during many of our events. Regretfully even though we’ve done everything we can to mitigate noise there is no way for us to challenge the complaints.

This is a city wide issue that doesn’t just impact DOLLY but affects venues and art spaces everywhere. So even though thousands of people have enjoyed events at DOLLY this one person who’s complaining holds all the power.

The city of Vancouver is now making us go through a change of use process to switch our zoning. This is a difficult process that requires significant investment of resources and time.

The hope is that at the end of this process we’ll be able to return to holding events within our space. We’ve been communicating with the city for over 14 months and we’re being told it could be multiple months until we have a solution.

We genuinely hope to have a solution with the city by September but in the meantime our staff is out of work and expenses are mounting. We're launching a Gofundme to help with the massive financial blow this situation has caused.

We understand that many people are at a breaking point with how expensive "Vancouver" is. We're thankful for any support no matter how small. If financial support isn't possible but you'd like to be involved we're accepting letters of support and will be launching an online petition soon!

Even though there are difficult times ahead we want to thank everyone that’s supported DOLLY over the last 3.5 years. Without our community, we wouldn’t exist. We genuinely miss being able to host you inside the DOLLY walls but trust that we’re doing everything we can to keep the vibes alive.

We love you all and encourage you to keep dancing in no fun city!

We are feeling super pumped for this Saturday! We just did a test run last night and the venue sounds and looks DOPE. There's plenty of comfy couches but also a spacious wooden dance floor in the face of Funktion One stacks. There's even food until midnight if you're hungry... what more could you ask for?
