Throughout the year, vegetables and fruits have peak seasons for growth. When that specific time comes is when it is often best to make sure you throw them in your shopping cart.

Spring is around the corner and with Summer on its way, local markets are going to have more seasonal berries and red/orange fruits and citruses this time of year — perfect for that fresh salad in your meal prep!

Try to make a trip over to your fresh market during the week to beat crowds, but if you must wait until the weekend then make a day out of it and enjoy the sun. Don’t forget your allergy medicine! 🤝

Holiday season is often a mix between staying in on cold nights instead of heading out or entertaining more guests than usual.

Your fridge, which usually has a lot more space on the second shelf, is full of tupperware containers from earlier in the week.

Instead of eating the same meal day in and day out or having your fridge door fight back when you try to close it — use this opportunity to create different dishes from the mix of ingredients sitting in your cooler.

For example, take your protein from the meal on Monday and add it to the salad that you need to take into work on Tuesday. You can even take the rest of the block of cheese that didn’t make its way into the pan of Mac, slice it up, and set it on your charcuterie board for the game night your hosting this weekend.

There is no set way to repurpose food. Pull from your everyday life and take a creative approach. Your stomach will thank you!

Thanksgiving is in a couple days and that means dishes have been assigned in group chats far and wide.

If it is your first year making the infamous yellow cake for the dessert table or you are simply wanting to swap outa few ingredients for the ham’s glaze, it can never hurt to test out your recipe ahead of time. That way you know whether you killed it or your family members would’ve in fact, killed *you* for “trying that mess”.

Remember, however you choose to take on your dish, do it with love and care.
