Looking to hire an officiant, look no further.

First of all, please hire a professional officiant. Y’all! Wedding (a verb!) is the core of what you are doing. The party is nice, the food is delicious, the flowers are beautiful, the photos will preserve this moment for perpetuity. But you do all of that as a punctuation around the big event: your wedding.

So, would you really ask your uncle or friend to create, mark, speak into the gravity of getting married? Did you ask your neighbor, the gardener, to be the florist? Or your friend with the new iPhone to snap the pictures? I am guessing not.

Presumably this is a big deal. Hire a professional. We get that might be us . . . or not. It might be one of our colleagues. But please choose someone who can and will personalize your ceremony, cares about getting to know you, speak into your relationship, and understands the nuances and rhythms of a wedding ceremony.

When you interview them, ask about their training. Ask why and how they do what they do. Ask how they define marriage and their role in creating one. Ask about how they manage logistics of rehearsals and ceremonies. Expect thoughtful and knowledgable responses.

We will start off August with a bang! Let me tell you how excited I am to now be one of the owners of Lovestruck. Morgan and I went to school together and I know how important it is for her to keep this business going. Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Danette Trahan. I have been a part of this woman only business since March 2022. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart going on 19 years. We have been together for 24 years in November. We have two amazing children, who we love so much. I have been involved in the wedding industry for over 10 years. I am a licensed cosmetologist and I was a wedding planner and photographer. I use my experience with wedding planning, to make sure you get everything you want and need. I am one of your officiants and I cannot wait to be involved in your beautiful ceremony.

In May of 2020 I started Lovestruck Officiants though it was only myself at the time.. My mission was to offer marriage officiant services to people from all walks of life.. Regardless of their sexual orientation. All i ever saw was love. Over the course of the following years we grew. And boy did we!! With officiants stretching across the state of Louisiana.. Each one of these ladies hold the same values as myself when it comes to marrying people. So, as with every company comes change.. And in Lovestruck Officiants case an amazing change.. Effective Jan 1st 2024 Lovestruck Officiants is now under new ownership.. This amazing and beautiful company will continue with the same valves as when we started. The two new owners have been apart of Lovestruck from almost the start. So I know without a doubt she will continue to grow and build an even better Lovestruck than it already is..

Please take a moment out of your day to pray for the strength and guidance of our fellow sister and friend.. whom lost her mother this morning. We at Lovestruck want to send our regards and heartfelt prayers to the owner of JEX Photography LLC during this difficult time.



Father God,

I lift up my friend who is mourning a loved one. I ask that You would bring her comfort in the midst of this life-shaking event. Thank you for Your promise to walk with and even carry her as she travels through the darkness of grief. Let her not be overcome with sadness, as those who have no hope, but to be strengthened by an awareness of Your presence.

Give her wisdom to make decisions and to handle any issues that may arise as arrangements are made and events take place. Protect her heart and mind. I pray a sense of calm would take hold, even while emotions around her run high, and that the peace you give her would overflow onto those nearby.

Father, You know just what will minister the most to my friend spiritually and emotionally right now. Gently lead her to find the right balance of being alone and being with others. Speak to her through Scripture. Show her Your love through the words and actions of someone else. Help her find moments of solace in the natural world You've created.

Thank You for being the God of all comfort, the One who holds us in Your hand. It says in Your Word that one day there will be no more death. But for now, I praise You for holding my friend close and giving her rest.
