Introducing the eccentric and hysterical Mitch Parry in the role of old-man Edoardo!

Mitch Parry has lived in numerous cities across Canada and in Western Europe, and he teaches film studies at the University of Victoria, where he is an Associate
Teaching Professor in the Department of Art History and Visual Studies. An award-winning author, he has published a novella (Vacant Rooms, Anvil Press, 1944) and two collections of poetry with Gooselane Editions: Tacoma Narrows (2006) and Imperfect Penance (2008). Mitch Parry is old enough to know better. Mitch Parry was abandoned in the woods as an infant and was rescued by a cete of badgers, who raised him as their own. After being captured by drunken hunters he was forced to learn speech and walk upright—neither of which he has perfected. Best known as a professional wrestler fighting under the stage name “The Massive Melon”, Parry is also a gourmet chef, a semi-retired fishmonger, and was the Rock/Paper/Scissors World Champion from 2010 to 2016. A self-taught musician, Parry has been ignored or rejected by orchestras around the world. Incredibly, his performance as Edoardo in The Crime on Goat Island in his first real speaking role in a film (note to the Academy: for your consideration). Most recently, Mitch Parry was voted number 105 in People magazine’s 10 Sexiest Men for 2022 (for the twentieth year in a row).
