Our May 2024 line-up…

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD” (1968) 35MM
The original classic in which the recent dead begin to return to life and attack human victims. A small group of humans barricade themselves in an isolated farmhouse as masses of the living dead gather outside. This is the ground-breaking movie which started it all!

“DAWN OF THE DEAD” (1978) DCP
SWAT team troopers Peter and Roger, Helicopter pilot Steven, and Newscast reporter Fran escape a big city being over-run by the Living Dead. They barricade themselves in a Suburban Shopping Mall in hopes to survive as human society starts to collapse. Our group of heroes fight both the Zombies and marauding humans for control of the mall. This George A. Romero classic is one of the greatest films ever made.

“DAY OF THE DEAD” (1985) DCP
A group of Scientists and Army troops are stationed in underground storage caverns. The scientists are experimenting on the Living Dead in hopes to find a cure to the Zombie Plague. The scientists and Army soldiers find themselves fighting each other as well as the Living Dead as tensions reach a breaking point. This third entry in the original George A. Romero Living Dead trilogy is known for its advanced make-up effects by Tom Savini, as well as for the introduction of “Bub”, a seemingly docile Zombie who begins to display signs of intelligence. “Bub” is portrayed by Howard Sherman in an amazing performance!

“THE CRAZIES” (1973) DCP
A must see for all George A. Romero fans! Made several years before “DAWN OF THE DEAD”, “THE CRAZIES” is a action packed, suspense horror thriller which explores many themes Romero later develops in “DAWN OF THE DEAD” and “DAY OF THE DEAD”. A government man-made bio-weapon virus is accidently released into the water supply of a small town. The residents are infected and transformed into homicidal maniacs. The Government Army forces begin to round up and imprison the residents of the town. A small group of survivors struggle to escape the tyrannical Government forces and evade the infected townspeople, as several within the group begin to show signs of infection. Co-starring in this film are several familiar actors from “DAWN OF THE DEAD” and “DAY OF THE DEAD”, as well as Lynn Lowrey (“I DRINK YOUR BLOOD”).
