You didn’t even know you wanted a little donkey friend to serve cervezas at your reception, but now you do. I love that this particular friend is very interested in the flowers 🥹
It may have been a little hot during this install, but I firmly believe that by the early evening, it was absolutely perfect 🌝✨ and the views at Lazy S can’t be beat!
Some shop talk…
A few years ago I heard a phrase from two very talented young floral designers that changed how I viewed wedding design: “Sisters, not twins”. Meaning similar but not the same. Simple but profound. For Amy’s bouquets I took it a step further, “cousins, not sisters”, and I love how they look viewed as a group!
Early June means some fun flowers that are only available for a short time: these sweet little zinnias and some gorgeous rusty calendula, all locally grown.!
Time to post this amazing wedding! Dearest Amy and her sweet momma were so much fun to work with! Their focus was on creating a warm, vibrant and fun filled day and it was amazing to play a small part in that. These colors were the perfect kick-start to summer! We used Free Spirit roses, dahlias, zinnias, protea… and lots of fun texture ❤️🧡💛
I have a soft spot in my heart for flat lays. Sometimes it’s these smaller details that can trigger the sweetest memories, and what a beautiful way to honor those details. I also have a soft spot in my heart for this photographer, . If you look waaaay far back in my account, you’ll see that some of my first professional images are by her. I feel that I owe her so much and it’s always a joy when we get to reconnect on a wedding together!

Love welcome sign florals 🥰 They’re one of the first florals your guests see, and can really set the tone. Mandy’s turned out great and the outdoor setting really made it pop!

IT’S TIME. I’ve been so excited to share this gorgeous wedding! Sweet Mandy had amazing taste and it was so much fun to bring her vision to life at the beautiful White Sparrow Barn! She picked a warm desert/canyon palette and some dramatic boho elements with classically beautiful flowers - a home run. Not to mention the perfect vendor team!

It was a rainy autumn afternoon that turned into a cozy, candle lit evening. And it was perfect.
So many times, clients have become friends, and this is definitely the case with dearest Leigh. We had so much fun plotting and planning this wedding and discovering some shared interests. Truly a soul sister. Loved the moody florals with the sophisticated dresses!

Can’t believe it’s been a year since this beauty’s snow-mageddon wedding! She made it through and so did we, her special day turned out beautifully. This year we returned to the 4-Eleven for another icy wedding! February brides are a special kind of warrior!

Alli’s bouquet from last weekend! I’ve been trying to master this bouncy style and I feel like this is my first successful attempt! I have so many amazing photos to post from this busy season, I don’t know where to even start. So… post the most recent and work backwards? Sure…?
Alli’s bouquet from last weekend! I’ve been trying to master this loose and bouncy style and this is my first successful attempt. I’ve figured out that roses are my problem… they’re my favorite, but the stems are stiff and they don’t move! So time to incorporate some bouncy rannunculus and dahlias. Not all bouquets need to move but I’ve been frustrated that I couldn’t seem to achieve the look. Also I’ve given up on a coherent Instagram grid - I have so many amazing photos to post from this busy season, and waiting on still more! I don’t know how any florists keep up with social media!
Happy Halloween friends! Ok we’re not filmmakers 😂🙈 but we did want to have some spooky fun. (Also I painted my hand green but the makeup was too sheer to show up) (And the song I had my heart set on was copyrighted and I couldn’t find any way around that) (But we did have fun!)
