A quick look back at a few of the highlights of 2024 with excitement for 2025!
In truth, 2024 has been a tough year - the decline of the UKs nightlife has had a profound impact on my life, my work, my income and my mental health. I've had to cancel several events due to low ticket sales, and had more performances cancelled at the last hour than I care to mention. But the moments I have had, have been all the more magical!
I think I can honestly say I understand the mid life crisis now too, unclear on where I want to go with life and what I want to do. For the first time ever I have no plan and no direction, just a desire not to do what I've been doing for the last 45 years. Which is why next year I'm shaking life up and moving to Manchester, in search of community, work and propose. I'm excited for the ride and can't wait to see where it takes me.
It's easy to see everyone's highlights on social media and feel like a bit of a failure, but just remember this virtual world is 95% fakery. The truth is, most of us are struggling, and that's okay! I always feel that real success comes from how to you treat others, and the difference you make in others lives, not how fast you can press the cue button or how many followers you have or how many plays your music has - that's more about ego than it is success.
So here's to 2025, it looks set to be another difficult year politically and societally, so look after your friends and together we'll get through xx
