The electronic music industry is a funny old biz - for some, success is almost overnight and instant, for others - it's a long game with highs and lows. Gender, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, location, peer network, socio economic status - all influencing what that success looks like.
I've had my share of moments over the last few years where it's felt hopeless, where I've regretted taking a 16 year break from DJing, where I've wished I wasn't quite so neurodivergent, where I've questioned what on earth I'm doing pouring all my hopes, dreams and passion into something where success can often seem so illusive.
But despite all the struggles, and the battles in my head, music is and always has been a major part of my life - it's helped me through difficult times, it's helped make memories in the good times, and making and sharing music is one of the best highs I've ever experienced.
And so we keep pushing on, making music, sharing music, making small steps forwards, with hope for the future.
Self pep talk over.
