The Alumni Associations of former students of the Universities of Bangladesh currently residing in Sydney would be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Independence of Bangladesh on 11th December, 2021. The planned event is expected to be attended by at least 500 participants, permitting COVID restrictions. The daylong event would take place in an open arena with a large electronic display board, f

ood trucks, children entertainment, onstage performance and etc. The day would start with the formation of a human flag of Bangladesh to remember and honor the valiant freedom fighters who won the independence of Bangladesh 50 year ago. A colorful Souvenir commemorating this auspicious event will also be published containing messages, stories and articles of interest by the dignitaries and Alumni of participating Universities.

This artwork will be printed, framed and exhibited for sale at the event. The proceeds from the sales will also be donated to support
-the affected families during 2024 floods in Bangladesh.
