Join us tomorrow for a special talk featuring our very own , Chris Pancoe (Anvil Tree), and Peter Hargraves(Sputnik Architecture & Anvil Tree). These talented folks all won design competitions to create stunning art suites at the illustrious IceHotel in Sweden, crafted entirely from ice and snow. They’ll discuss these projects and the inaugural Straw Symposium—a project of Anvil Tree hosted by Holiday Alley and the City of Selkirk via us(Fête Jockey Events)!

We are excited to be working as the curators for Storefront Manitoba's Winnipeg Design Festival 2024! WDF celebrates and promotes contemporary design and art in Winnipeg, and this year our theme is UNDER PRESSURE: climate-conscious design + build, envisioning the future of Winnipeg 150 years from now. The festival, running throughout September 2024, will include a series of workshops, tours, installations, and public events for all ages including opportunities to participate in the construction of a 3D map of our dream city.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported La Société historique métisse and this inaugural paddle event on the Seine River. It felt really special to see so many smiling faces in canoes, kayaks, and on SUPs enjoying our beautiful waterway. We hope this is the first of many!

Manitoba's first ever straw sculpture symposium at Holiday Alley was a huge success! 🔥 Stay tuned for more details on when the sculpture will be lit up in flames🔥. So grateful we got to be a part of coordinating this truly unique collaboration with Lithuanian artist Vytautas Musteikis and Chris Pancoe of Anvil Tree.
