Judges will give all mixes a listen and announce the top 10 finalists to compete at ubar (29th of July)

Finalist will play a 15 minute set.

The judges will announce the top three winners on the night after sets are finished.

Prizes included are:
- Set times at pint night (14th September)
- Support for a yet to be announced NZ artist (27th august)

I'm sure that if you consider yourself a drum and bass listener you will be familiar with the name Yetti He has been constantly releasing tunes for a number of years now and has always been one of the leading producers in the NZ underground scene Yetti has a distinct style of dark and filthy rollers which he manages to blend so well with the vocals or verses of the track If you listen to tracks such as The one VIP, A new day VIP, or Deeper, you'll see how filthy the rolling bassline is and how well it supports the vocals and the verses too

Here today we have selected a tune to suite the dim cosey day of Dunedin, it’s getting sleepy and bloody cold here in duds as winter approaches which is why We have chosen MDNZ’s bootleg of diplo and trippy redds “wish”. Sup team Today we prepared a tune that fits the chill evening vibe Introducing 'Fire' an experimental bootleg of Adele's Set fire to the rain by Wavrunnr It samples the iconic vocal of Adele on the drop which is slowed down and distorted a little bit but it blends so well with the instrumental and the overall mood of the track Wavrunnr even decided to put in a cheeky verse in as well which is quality too Another interesting point of this track is that the second drop is quite different to the first drop as it features a more dancefloor kind of melody line whereas the first drop is a classic minimal rolling bassline Overall such a fascinating track and definitely recommend checking it out You won't regret it🔊😎💥

How are fam Another beautiful day out there so we prepared a beautiful tune to match it! Introducuing 'Under' by Benny dubs, a kiwi producer from wellington🙌🙌

Under is a liquid track with the most amazing female vocals and a soft rolling instrumental that fits perfectly It came out about an year ago and I swear I listened to it about a hundred times cause that's just how good it is A number of other kiwi producers such as Yetti, Fizik, and Wildstorm made a remix for the track and I definitely recommed checking them out too and see how they changed from the original track It's actually criminal how underrated this tune is and I really hope y'all can give it a listen and feel the swarm of emotions like I did🔊💫😇
