DJ FloorWax is the pseudonym of Benny Ladangh, a veteran DJ with more than 35 years of experience! Starting at age 19 with his first club appearance, he became a fixture at clubs like Cosmo (Tielt-Winge), Ster (Rillaar), Le Beau Zoo (Sint-Truiden), Vespa’s (Orsmaal) and Xanadu (Kumtich). His skill was recognized in 1992, when Benny won the Belgian DJ championship title.
But above all, Benny is a true music lover! He’s a walking music encyclopedia and has amassed a vinyl collection of over 8000 records, spanning five decades and all kinds of musical styles. Combine this knowledge with years of DJ experience, and you know that Benny will always find the right groove for every situation. Rifling through his record collection you will see him come up with ideas on the spot, meaning no set is the same!
Of course tastes develop, and Benny has found himself leaning towards Nu-disco and tech-house in the last few years. As long as it’s danceable and groovy! His collection contains lots of releases from labels like Defected, Razor and Tape, Toy Tonics, Crystalgrooves, Club Sweat, and Toolroom, that will keep you dancing all night long.
