It feels like every year destination weddings become more and more popular. If you’re searching for a non-traditional wedding, consider booking somewhere that is special to you/your partner. (tip: it might not even be a proper wedding venue!) 🤫

There are truly no rules about where you should or shouldn’t get married so don’t be afraid to think outside of the box! At the end of the day, if you pick somewhere that feels representative of your love, nothing else really matters 🫶

2022 was monumental for ASW.

to the couples that I worked with this past year, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m grateful for every person that has trusted me, believed in me, and supported me as I took on this venture. Beyond excited for my 2023 couples and to help make more dreams come true!✨🪩🫶

special thank you to for the opportunity to learn SO much and grow a ton while being on the team. And of course to the wonderful for being my first (and only) coordinator that I brought on this year.

U n i t y 🖤

I know that a lot of people are interested in having a unity ceremony but may not know what exactly it is or which one to pick. Keep reading to learn more!! ⬇️

WHAT IS IT?
• A unity ceremony is when the couple decides to include some sort of symbolism within their ceremony to represent becoming one (a union). It is typically just a brief section within the ceremony that your officiant will lead.

DO I HAVE TO INCLUDE IT?
• Unity ceremonies are totally optional and can be a great choice for couples wanting to add in a meaningful tradition into their ceremony.

WHO CAN DO IT?
• Anyone can have a unity ceremony! Unity ceremonies can also be religious or non religious.

A few popular unity ceremony ideas…

• sand ceremony (pictured here) is when a couple pours sand from two separate vessels into one larger vessel. This typically represents the idea that the sand can no longer be separated.

• candle lighting - this ceremony will allow the couple to have an individual candlestick, and when prompted, they will come together to light one, larger candle. This is a great way to visually represent the merging of two people + families.

• tie a knot - this unity tradition is typically considered religious as it symbolizes the coming together of man, woman, and God. The couple will take turns braiding the knot together, becoming one.

There are SO many more ideas, these are just a few of the most common! If you’re interested in including a unity symbol within your ceremony, consider picking one that feels unique and sentimental for you and your partner. ✨

Nothing is more special than having your day uniquely represent you + your partner, your families, and each other’s favorite things. Alex and Kunal had one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed and it was specific to their own love story. They also had a taco truck for dinner and cookies instead of cake! No one makes a wedding rule book, therefore, make your wedding memorable by adding in special elements that are meaningful to you. 🥰

Such a sweet review that came in today. 🥰 A mother of the bride in particular often carries so much stress during the planning process because they want the day to be absolutely perfect for their daughter (which I totally get!) I love that my job allows me to take some of that weight off of their shoulders so everyone can enjoy the day and celebrate accordingly... without worry! 🫶

pro tip: make sure you schedule in some alone time with your significant other on your wedding day!! whether it be a private dinner, last dance, or simply sneaking away for a few minutes during the reception - you worked so hard to get there and it’s so important to have a moment with your partner to finally take it alllllll in 🤍
