We are honoured to have been asked to address the Joint Oireachtais Committee on Children, Equality, Integration and Youth today where we will speaking on the topic of surrogacy and the rights of the child in relation to domestic and international surrogacy.
Our chairperson Elaine and our spokesperson Gearóid will be representing us, and countless families and children across Ireland and beyond.

The stamps will be available from today, Thursday 10th June, at all post offices and online at anpost.com/Brod in a special booklet format (€6.40), each containing a mix of four ‘N’ rate Pride and Bród stamps for posting across the island of Ireland and one ‘W’ rate stamp for posting letters worldwide. Pride lapel pins, t-shirts and framed stamps will also be available from selected post offices and anpost.com/Brod

Workshop 7: Pride 101

We take a look at the history and meaning of Pride in Ireland and across the globe. This interactive session is designed to give participants a close understanding of Pride and to explore the valuable role of allies and LGBTQ+ folks alike in supporting the ongoing struggle for equality.

Some of the topics we'll discuss:

How did Pride begin, and what were the risks for LGBTQ+ people in those early days? What did it mean to be LGBTQ+ in Ireland at the time of the first Pride?.
Pride today: what the march looks like now, how it's changed, and how the community has dealt with those changes. Addressing the question of whether the day is a party, or a protest - or both!

Respect at Pride: building a better understanding of our language and terminology so that all LGBTQ+ people feel safe and supported on the day.

The future of Pride: what battles the LGBTQ+ community is still fighting, and how we can all support the important causes.

This workshop includes access to the Allies' Guide to Pride resource and the option of ongoing support and advice for all participants
