What a week…

We don’t have all the answers. But we both fiercely love this community. And we believe that q***r joy is an act of resistance.

Go to the ATM

Then go buy a pack of gum and ask for all singles back - then you will have 18 dollar bills, fresh breath, and 20 pieces of gum to break the ice with a cute femme (or masc! butches like being offered gum too!)

When you pay in cash at the door, it makes the line go faster. If you haven’t already bought your ticket, the least you can do is pay in cash. No one wants to wait in line behind you while you log into Venmo. That’s why we got square finally. But for real there’s so much time between now and Saturday Oct 19 7pm - go to the 🏧

You will need cash for coat check. You will need cash to tip performers. You will need cash to tip the bartenders (if you want to be a favorite bar guest).

Hell Houses are *typically* run by evangelical churches or parachurch organizations. Alternatives to Halloween/Haunted Houses - Hell Houses *usually* depict acts which the organizers deem sinful.

As q***r people, we have been told that our very nature is sinful. Many films in this list explore how women’s sexuality in general has been deemed sinful by the church/patriarchy. Clearly, we disagree lol.

Our Hell House is being curated, built, staffed, and attended by d***s. We are highly inspired by the church (IYKYK), religious imagery, and reclamation of q***r sexuality. If you grew up around homophobia, you get it. If you didn’t, congrats. Either way, watch a scary movie and start planning for the Heaven & Hell Costume Contest for Oct 19

Wild but: it felt very retro to see so many not on phones and having wide awake laughter and conversations. We believe it is essential that we celebrate q***r joy as a community. Lyfe can be hard on a homosexual and we deserve time to chill out in the company of others who ġėt ït 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Love and high fives to everyone who came out tonight in search of connection and community. Love and high fives also to anyone who wanted to come, but felt shy about being seen or couldn’t come out for any other reason — we appreciate you and hope to see you next time, buds.
