They’re on 51. Groundbreaking every loop. And they seem to get stronger each time! @psychederic18 @joshua_toh @reddotrunningco
Start of loop 49 for @psychederic18 and @joshua_toh … these two are absolute legends! They don’t seem to tire and are consistently banging out yards like clockwork. #lastmanstanding @reddotrunningco #deadeffinglast
The start of hour 43 - Backyard Ultra World Team Championships. Joshua and Deric have been running together for over 14 hours, and now Joshua’s opened a gap that might be a significant move to decide Winner and Assist. Both look strong, who will break first? Stay tuned!! @reddotrunningco @fatburd_events @joshua_toh @psychederic18 #lastmanstanding
Joshua and Deric, off in the rain on their 36th loop. Both look strong. 💪🏼
Joshua and Deric have equalled the national record of 34 yards now! They’re both looking strong, averaging 48’ loops and we should have a new national record in just over an hour’s time!

The return of the punkahwallah! 🇸🇬
Resting up before loop 26! 💪🏼
Between loops at the Beach Backyard Ultra, here’s how our runners rest! Most have ten minutes or less to get their nutrition in, sort out any other requirements, or snatch a quick nap before getting out again for the next loop. They’re all doing incredibly well, but we’ve had a few DNFs (Did Not Finish) now that we’re onto the 9th loop.
Hang in there, everyone!
We started to get rain (what a surprise!) around 40 minutes ago … VERY hard at times, and the tent walls came down. The runners are out on loop 8 at the moment … 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Wah, SUP! is next month, and it's gonna be a lot of fun. You remember fun, right? 😁

Here's Bob Becker, 77, in the final stretch of the Badwater Ultramarathon. Bob was trying to become the oldest-ever finisher of "the world's toughest foot race," which comprises 217 km starting at 86 metres below sea level in the Badwater Basin, in California's Death Valley, and ending at an elevation of 2548 metres at Whitney Portal, the trailhead to Mount Whitney (the highest point in the 48 contiguous United States, i.e. not including Alaska and Hawaii). It takes place annually in mid-July, when the weather conditions are most extreme and temperatures can reach 54 °C. In a heroic effort, Becker made it across the line just over the 48-hour cutoff.
Posted @withregram • @harveylewisultrarunner I’ve never seen anything like it.
77 years young, Bob Becker goes for being the oldest finisher of the Badwater 135.
He was hunched over since far outside of Lone Pine when we first saw him in the morning. He resolved to a bear crawl heading up Whitney Portal Road. Ultra community and medical staff by his side.
135 miles through the hottest place on the planet. This is the final 100 meters of that journey. To be counted as an official finisher he needed to finish in 48 hours.
He missed it by mere mortal minutes but gave us a finish immortalized in our minds.
He gave his all. 🙏❤️💪

Remember, one of the sponsors of our upcoming WAH, SUP! run-SUP (500m SUP, 5km run) event (8th May at Aloha Sea Sports Centre) is Skinnies, and Red Dot Running Company is putting a free sample of Skinnies in everyone's goodie bag.
Skinnies is a soft spreadable gel that rubs in clear. There's no water in Skinnies, which means it’s concentrated, not diluted, and a pea-sized blob covers your face, neck and ears for instant long-lasting UV protection. So, if you’re heading outside doing your fav sport, whether it's running or cycling or something else or a combination (like SUP and run!), Skinnies won’t evaporate off or drip and sting your eyes. We like that and so will you!
It's designed for all skin types (including a special SKINNIES Kids formulation for kids and babies as young as three months old), on both face and body, plus it is water-resistant for up to 40 minutes (Skinnies for kids is water resistant for up to two hours!). Oh, and by the way, it's vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, gluten-free, reef-safe and comes in sugar cane sustainable packaging. No parabens, no preservatives, no fragrances, and no alcohol.
Check it out at https://www.rdrc.sg/collections/sunscreen or at Red Dot Running Company in Joo Chiat.

LOOK WHAT'S IN THE WAH, SUP! GOODIE BAG!
Every event organizer owes a big debt to sponsors, and we're super-grateful to the sponsors of our upcoming WAH, SUP! run-SUP (500m SUP, 5km run) event on 8th May at Aloha Sea Sports Centre.
First of all, we're thrilled that competitors in WAH, SUP! will get a free sample of Skinnies in their goodie bags. Our friends at Red Dot Running Company discovered Skinnies sungel last year, and we love it for what it IS, and what it ISN'T.
What ISN'T Skinnies? Skinnies ISN'T just another white and sticky sunscreen. Which we – and most people – hate.
What IS Skinnies?
Skinnies is a soft spreadable gel that rubs in clear, with instant UVA/UVB protection. Skinnies is sustainably made using ZERO water, so less is more, and a pea-sized blob covers your face, neck and ears for instant long-lasting UV protection. It's designed for all skin types (including a special SKINNIES Kids formulation for kids and babies as young as three months old), on both face and body, plus it is water-resistant for up to 40 minutes (Skinnies for kids is water resistant for up to two hours!).
