WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP 🖤
Times are difficult for everyone and like many nightclub venues across the world, our doors have remained shut during lockdown. The safety of our customers is paramount, however many of us are left fighting for survival until indoor venues can re-open once again at full capacity.
As lockdown eased at the beginning of July, our team acquired a temporary outdoor space next to E1, with the aim of offering a socially distanced environment for those who were ready to interact with friends within the recommended government guidelines.
A great deal of work went into turning a previously derelict space into Site 5, a COVID secure pub for outdoor drinking.
This was led purely by the fact that we needed to be able to cover many of the costs for E1 throughout our extended period of closure.
Everything possible has been done to secure staff jobs during these times. The prospect of having Site 5 as a more permanent location over the coming months is vital. Not only to support our team employed on a full-time basis, (as furlough comes to an end), but also to help bring employment support to those who work on a freelance basis for us - our bar staff family, suppliers and beyond.
Unfortunately, our licence application for Site 5 has been contested by two people for reasons we cannot understand, therefore everything is at risk. There may soon be no Site 5, no jobs for our staff and further down the line, we may no longer have E1. Nothing is certain.
We need your help TODAY. It will mean everything to us, our staff and the clubbers who find sanctuary in music, alongside many like-minded people who care deeply about our scene.
