Hi everyone! 🌻 happy Friday, happy April, happy SPRING! This time of year brings me so much joy.

Wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself to the people that are new here. My name is Jenna Thompson, owner of Efflorescence. When I’m not playing with flowers, you’ll find me hunting for antiques, adventuring with my husband and our fur babies, or spending quality time with my dear friends and family. Fun fact - I also have a full time job with a company that I absolutely love! I’m blessed to be able to juggle my passion for flowers + all things vintage with an incredible, fulfilling career.

Our beloved flower truck, Old Blue, has been patiently awaiting his time to shine after a cozy winter hibernation 😎 we have some exciting pop ups planned for Mother’s Day weekend in May, so mark your calendars! And stay tuned for an exciting announcement — I’ve been working on something for the last few months that I can’t wait to share.

Hoping we can fill this season with flowers and connection as well 🌷 Efflorescence will be popping up on Tuesday, February 13th from 4-7pm at our favorite in downtown Bozeman! There will be premade bouquets and, of course, a chance to build your own.

WOW! Happy New Year! *Am I still able to say that nearly a month in? 😂

After a bustling Holiday season and 2023 in general (more on that to come!) I took some time behind the scenes to reset a little and focus on what’s to come. And let me tell you all, I AM SO EXCITED! We have a lot of fun updates coming your way. 🥰

In the meantime, here is some vintage + wildflower love for you all because I’m daydreaming about summer days. (Don’t worry, don’t worry — I’m still a sucker for those beautiful, snow covered mountains ❄️🩵)

‘Tis the season for outdoor planters! As many of you know, we’ve been making these since late October with no end in sight. They are just so.much.fun. 😍🌲

We’ll be popping up at the Christmas Stroll THIS Saturday with the flower truck in front of the ✨new✨ location downtown Bozeman. I have so many vintage goodies-turned-Christmas planters & I can’t wait for you all to see them! We’ll be posting sneak peaks throughout the rest of the week. 👀🎅

Fall Saturdays, warm coffee, and flowers - what more could you want?!? Come hang out with us at THIS weekend! Time to decorate the truck with pumpkins and fall florals 😍 we'll have the usual build-your-own-bouquet bar, along with premade arrangements for sale. How is it already mid-September?! 🙃
I know we’ve been a little quiet on here lately — we spent cherished time with family & friends in August and soaked up ALL the sweetness that the end of summer has to offer. I hope you all did as well! 💕☀️

LOOK AT THOSE SUNFLOWERS! We picked these beauties at ‘s U-pick event last night. What an fun experience!

Our community is so lucky to have people like May and Tom — their kindness and joy is contagious & will bring the biggest smile to your face. May has provided the beautiful flowers for my events all summer (including the last pop up!) and I am so, so grateful. If you haven’t been out to their farm, definitely add it to your summer list. It’s a little slice of heaven in the bustling noise of Bozeman. ✨

You can visit their farm shop daily, go to u-pick events 3 times per week, AND find them at the Farmer’s Market every Tuesday evening. 🌻

Several people have asked me, 'how did you come up with the name?' Truthfully, I have to give my husband the credit for this one. 🙃 One evening, we sat in my office, racking our brains for a fitting name. We resorted to the good ol' Google search for 'beautiful words.' (Shoutout to our dear family friend's business, , which sparked the inspiration 💕 love you, Gayle!)

And then Rick found it, 'Efflorescence,' a word that instantly resonated with both of us. When I discovered its meaning, 'a season of becoming; to bloom or flower,' it felt like a perfect fit. For those of you who don’t know, my business has always been about merging my love for flowers and vintage aesthetics. After all, the face of Efflorescence is a charming blue '57 Chevy, our adorable, vintage flower truck, which I'll be sharing more about in upcoming posts. 😍

The idea of 'a season of becoming' struck a chord with me. Our vintage truck is certainly still in its season of becoming, along with some of the antique containers we'll be selling and showcasing floral arrangements in. Flowers, too, have their own season of becoming as they bloom and add splashes of color to the world. And finally, I believe that WE are all continuously in our seasons of becoming as we grow & become better versions of ourselves day by day & year by year. ✨🌻

Hello everyone! ✨ I am absolutely thrilled to introduce myself and Efflorescence, my floral design company, serving Bozeman, Montana, and its surrounding areas. Get ready because over the next few days, I'll be revealing the story behind our name and all the exciting things we have in store for you (hint: think flower truck!). But before we dive into all that, I want to take a moment to share a little bit about my journey and what has led me to this point.

From a young age, my fascination with flowers and vibrant colors was undeniable. I spent hours watching my parents in the garden and learning from them along the way. It's funny how life works sometimes—I vividly remember watching the movie "Valentine's Day" during high school and having an epiphany: "That's it! I want to own a flower shop one day.”

During my freshman year in college, I was fortunate enough to land a job at Daisy A Day, a local flower shop in St. Joseph, MN. A special shout-out goes to the incredible owner, Tracy, who generously shared her expertise and love for floral design with me over the next four years. Working there was an absolute joy—forming lasting friendships, connecting with the local community, sharing endless laughter, and staying up until the early hours during holidays to create stunning arrangements. I wouldn’t be where I am without that experience and I am endlessly grateful to Tracy and her family.

In the years since then, I've had the privilege of designing several weddings and events for family and friends. All the while, I held onto the dream of one day launching my very own “official” floral business. And now, that day has arrived! It has been a journey filled with daydreaming, hard work, and an overwhelming amount of love and encouragement from my incredible family and friends.
