A 10,000 square foot modern industrial venue has come to life in downtown Galesburg. Originally a 1950’s car dealership the building boasts light from every direction through vast windows. Throughout the years the building has been home to local businesses providing service to Galesburg, Illinois and the surrounding Knox County area. We are so excited to have Jon Young- Young Inc joining us for the Knox County Weddings Expo 2024!

When Jon was learning to dance, he found that he enjoys helping people learn and have fun with dancing! "Nothing is better than seeing people smile and enjoy the dance."

Wedding trend that Jon is loving is the first dance of the Bride and Groom. He enjoys seeing couples get creative with a song that is not done by award winning artist.
"Sometimes you can find the Diamond in the rough song".

Services that Young Inc offer are basic foot work or a fully choreographed first dance, Daddy Daughter, Mother and Son dances. At Young Inc, Jon can help create a dance that will last a lifetime in front of family and friends.

We are so excited to have Morgan White join us for the Knox County Weddings Expo 2024!

Morgan is a photographer in Central IL. Morgan has been a photographer for 10 plus years.
She loves capturing what you are most proud of! Morgan has always been a lover for the arts. She started her passion for photography right after high school.
A trend that Morgan is loving is the slow shutter drags in photography.
She offers part or full day photo coverage. Her premium package is up to 10 hours and doesn't stop until the party starts at the reception! The premium package receives a large canvas print delivered right to clients.

Morgan's advice to the soon to be married couples would be to always make time for each other and always, take photos together often because tomorrow is never promised!

Our November Vendor Spotlight! Sabrina's Bridal and Prom
How did you start your business? What inspired you to begin?

Starting Sabrina’s Bridal & Prom was inspired by planning my own wedding. When I was shopping for wedding dresses and other things that I needed for my wedding there was no where to shop in Galesburg or even Knox County and not many options even when looking at other nearby areas so I decided to open my own store. We started with just a single line of gowns but quickly expanded to where we are today with multiple designer lines as well as hand selected gowns in our private collection.

What does your business offer for weddings?

Sabrina’s is a full service bridal boutique offering not only bridal gowns but attire for your entire wedding party. We have bridesmaids dresses, flower girls dresses, tuxedos and can help with dresses for mom’s and even guests from time to time.

What is your favorite wedding trend you are currently seeing?
Some of my favorite things I’m seeing in bridal right now is detachable sleeves on the dresses and slits in the dresses and not just the sexy slinky wedding gowns but even in full ball gowns. Another fun trend that isn’t as new is brides picking a color and then letting their bridesmaids pick any style they want in that color.

What is your best insider advice for wedding-planning couples?

The best advice we can give is to not stress about the small things. Little things are always going to happen and at the end of the day as long as you are married the day was perfect.

How did you start your business? What inspired you to begin?
I have been involved with the project for about 5 years since its purchase in late 2016. Since then, we have made major strides to restore the true historic ambiance and organic beauty of the 134 chapel, as well as update the grounds with some modern amenities like a furnished onsite bridal suite. St. Mary's Chapel is a historic location dear to the local community. People enjoy the unique features and striking beauty of the chapel both inside and out. I feel completely honored to be part of its reintroduction to the community as the architectural treasure that it remains to be.

What is your favorite wedding trend you are currently seeing?
Simplicity. Back to basics; shifted focus from all the "stuff" and glitzy extras to minimal but personal and deeply symbolic ambiance. Letting your love speak for itself - Trust me, we do not need another drink koozie.

What does your business offer for weddings?
St. Mary's Chapel & Events in historic Knoxville, Illinois offers a unique location for your dream wedding. We are an inclusive ceremony venue, Gothic in style and seating approximately 150-160 people. The Chapel is available for event ceremony rental as well as by the hour rental for non wedding events.

SHOP "OFF SEASON" Take advantage of the clearances. Plan out your purchases and then research the cheapest way to obtain them. And of course, we also love reusing or recycling in any sustainable way!

Tell us a fun fact about your business!
President Gerald Ford's Mother graduated from St. Mary's School for Girls in 1912 with a degree in "Home Economics." The original record book with her hand written name and home address is now on display now at St. Mary's Chapel.

1) How did you start your business and/or what inspired you to
open?
While Kim was asked to fill a role similar to The Wedding Fairy duties at a friend's wedding, she
realized that she needed Jen’s assistance in coming up with a photography list (that the bride
had forgotten to give the photographer) - then The Wedding Fairy was born. We are two ladies
who love weddings, and we want to make sure all those last minute, day of the wedding details
are handled in a fun yet professional manner. We will be with the bride and groom every step of
the way to ensure their wedding day is perfect.

2) What are some wedding trends you are seeing?
We see a lot of rustic country style (burlap, foliage), fall colors, and casual dining choices.

3) What products/services do you offer?
The Wedding Fairy offers the day of wedding coordination. These duties include care of the last
minute details (i.e., lighting candles, teaching ushers) and coordination (i.e., pay vendors, stay
on schedule) on your wedding day. We have three packages ranging from rehearsal to reception.

Remember to have fun and enjoy the day, this is just the beginning of your marriage!
