Maren & Scott Wedding Teaser Film
📍 Salt Lake City, Utah
I cannot describe just how much I loved being at Maren and Scott’s wedding last week! From filming at the beautiful Utah State Capitol to getting to know just about every member of their families to late night poker sessions, this two day wedding was one for the books.
This film is just the teaser, and the full highlight film will be underway very soon! I cannot wait to show everyone the whole story of love, fun and perseverance of Maren and Scott. ❤️

Was & Roe Full Film
Having the honor of capturing these memories was one of the highlights of my career so far. When Waz and Roe contacted me originally in 2022, I could feel their love and commitment to each other so radiantly right away. I think the feeling was mutual, because they booked me for my highest packaged ever at the time, within an hour of our first call 😭
Coming from two totally different parts of the world, the families of Waz and Roe came together to celebrate and support their love, and it felt like a true testament to the power of love. Getting to see their vulnerable, intimate moments as they got dressed together, and the all out choreographed dance in front of friends and family, I couldn’t hope for a more grounded, genuine, kind and deeply loving couple to work with.
Waz and Roe, thank you for putting your trust in me. Much love to you both, I hope this film may serve as a reminder of where your love is founded for the rest of your lives ❤️
Anything to get the shot!
I really have started to love rain on wedding days. I mean, don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing better than a beautiful golden hour sunset and a perfect 70° day with no wind and everything goes perfectly.
I think I’ve started to love about rainy weddings, though, is that it pulls people out of their head and stops everyone from trying to be perfect. In my eyes, love isn’t meant to be perfect. Love is supposed to be the partnership between two people and a very, very imperfect world, where we can find the beauty and the light in the darkest of times in each other.
When things start going wrong, and your groomsmen slips on the grass and gets all muddy, and it starts raining right when we start taking photos together, it can be easy for people to get in their heads and get frustrated. But, sometimes we all just laugh, and the struggle brings us all closer together.
And then, when you look back at your wedding film in 20 years, your smiles with wet hair surrounded by your most precious loved ones, serve as a reminder that your love is not based on perfection, but based on each other.
It’s not all sunshine and rainbows running your own wedding videography business but sometimes when I look at myself from the third person perspective, I have to pinch myself because I can’t believe what my life has has become.
I remember being a junior in film school having barely enough money to cover rent and surviving off of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches from the local dollar store. I had just started my first video production company in hopes that I could find more education in the real world and I was finding in school.
every day things would get better and I just had to keep pushing and giving it time. At times, it was super hard, and if you ask my friends, they’ll tell you just how depressed I was, but I always knew that I wanted to make some thing of my own with the craft that I love so much.
years later, I have a car, a career, a stable income, friends, and so many more amazing things that have come from this job. And yet, sometimes I find myself spiraling, just like I used to. In these moments, I like to remind myself of the quote “You have already achieved the things that you said would make you happy.”
anyways, all this is to say, thank you so much to all the people who have believed in me enough to give me the opportunity to go on this journey. I still have so so so much to learn, and honestly, after so many years of internal struggle about this business, I just feel so excited for the future to come. There will be many ups and downs, and my life is far from perfect, but that’s not the goal anyways. Love you guys ❤️
1. Make sure you build in enough time to really soak in the day! As a wedding filmmaker myself, it is, of course my job to capture all of your memories on the day, especially the ones where you’ll probably blackout (mostly saying your vows in front of your friends and family lol) but it’s really important that you don’t make a timeline that’s too strict and allow yourself a few moments to breathe throughout the day where you can spend time with your bridal party and really taking the fact that you’re getting married today.
2. I recognize I may be biased here as a wedding filmmaker myself, but I genuinely hear it ALLLL the time. Photography is SO important to capture your memories, and nothing can replace those moments in time. However, video is another extremely important piece to the puzzle. Getting to capture your loved ones voices, and having the real moments in full to look back at when your kids ask what great grandpa was like, is the most precious thing you can have.
3. I have never been to a wedding where the timeline went without a single hiccup, but I have also never been to a wedding where the couple didn’t get married! At the end of the day, make sure you have a great team of vendors that know how to handle these situations, and make sure that you focus on having the most magical day of your life. You spent all this time and money planning the perfect day, now let the pros take the reigns and just enjoy the show ☺️
4. Everybody knows that the cliché is at the wedding is for the bride. However, the groom is an equal part of the marriage, and so it should be treated that way on the wedding day too! I way too often times see that the groom only has a pair of shoes And maybe a pocket square for their details. Details help you remember the little important moments of the day, and especially for the groom, helps remember that they are important too. So make sure to add those cufflinks and maybe even some cologne, and we’ll get it on phot

This wedding is the absolute definition of what true love looks like 😭
When doing a unique wedding, you never know what you’re gonna get. Sometimes the best you can do is plan well and hold on for the ride. And this beautiful wedding at Stowe mountain resort in Vermont was just that. With the weather coming off of a beautiful snowy streak just in time to lightly rain all day, by the time we had gotten up to the top of the mountain for our private vows, the brides makeup had become… well not usable 😂
What I love about these two is how they truly take everything in stride, and remember the reason that they’re there. Weather they get to ski or not, makeup or not, rain or snow, there was nothing but smiles and infectious laughter from beginning to end.
I had so much fun working with Bri and Thomas, and I’m eternally grateful for the opportunity to work with such kind souls, alongside my girlfriend Jenna, who photographed the day BEAUTIFULLY, and the lot of us became a team of friends on that day.
Getting to look back and relive this day over and over through the editing process taught me so much about who I want to be as a filmmaker, and how I want to make my couples feel when they watch their wedding film back. When I got the text after they finally sat down together… it floored me.
“Oh my god 😭😭 I cannot stop crying. We finally sat down and watched. I have watched the “our wedding” video 4 times now. Everything is so perfect you did the best job we could have asked for. It’s so amazing, we love it!!!!”
All in all, I can’t wait to take all that I learned this year, and get just a little bit closer to that perfect wedding film this year. Bri and Thomas, thank you again from the bottom of my heart for having me on your day, and trusting me to capture your love. You’ll always have a friend with a camera if you need me 💕

This is what sibling love truly looks like. Ever since I started filming weddings, I caught myself inspired by the beautiful speeches and imagining what I would say at my brother’s wedding. After years of wedding filmmaking, seeing hundreds of speeches, I still feel at a loss for what I’m going to say. And, now my brother IS GETTING MARRIED!! And having the honor of being his best man is both something I’ve waited a long time for, but also a daunting feat (for someone who suckssss at public speaking). Watching these moments though, remind me that all that really matters when you’re giving a speech at a wedding is to forget everyone else who’s listening, and use this special moment that will be captured on film forever, to say what you truly mean, and how you truly feel. #weddingvideography #weddingspeech
