Prepared one of the tastiest unconventional pairings this evening. Grass-fed new york strip, served with blinis, crème fraîche, salmon roe, and wasabi imported from Shizouka, Japan.

Though I traditionally like wasabi with nigiri or sashimi, it is delicious paired with a high-quality steak, prepared rare—or as I like to call it, “cowboy sushi” 🍣 🥩

Yesterday’s private sushi rolling lesson with Jeannette & Katie was such a blast. They tried their hand at making many types of sushi, including king salmon nigiri. They did an amazing job and are definitely naturals when it comes to the art of making sushi! 🍣

My family medicine rotation out in rural Montana has been keeping me busy….but never too busy for a sushi party, of course! I am so grateful for the amazing staff I have the privilege to learn from everyday out here. I loved getting to spend the evening preparing sushi for them.

A Sunday evening well-spent! Thank you Nelson family for having me into your beautiful home & kitchen! It was truly a delight to spend the evening with you 🍣

I will be moving out of the Ludington area for my clinical rotations for graduate school next week and will be unable to accept reservations for the next several months. This is such a bittersweet time for me as I have thoroughly enjoyed doing private in home lessons and dinners these past 5 months. Thank you for inviting me into your homes & for allowing me to share one of my greatest passions with you. I truly have the best customers out there and you have made this experience so meaningful.

This isn’t goodbye forever—more of a “see you later.” I will be back in action & accepting reservations once I am finished with school. I plan to keep active on this page when I’m able to.
