You don come an outdoor event, and the couple just wan step out for stage to dance, one kind stupid rain go begin fall?

Let me tell you where you'll find this kind of scenario.

You'll find it in the homes of staunch, uninformed Christians.

Now I said staunch because, as true Christians, they'll never consider anything that had to do with magic; and I said uninformed because they lack the information to help them differentiate science from some hocus pocus magic nonsense.

No, I'm not trying to make you feel bad because of your beliefs, I'm just trying to point out where it limits you; and yes, rainmaking is a science.

It may not be a completely understood science, and sometimes may not get the complete desired result, but to a large extent, it gets the job done.

So when next you have that event to put together, contact that your village rainmaker to come and do his thing. Forget the face of that your priest who you know will frown like Yoruba palm oil when it gets cold and call that rainmaker.

It is a science, like using fertilizer on the soil.

PS: Now, question time. Will you be more comfortable to employ the services of a rainmaker, if he/she has a formal education?

How exactly does a bride end up doing virtually everything on her wedding day?

First off, on arrival to the place at around 10 pm, after my ordeal with touts who insisted I had to pay a levy for the decoration props and equipments I had loaded in a bus, I'd have sworn that it was the bride that went through the ordeal.

Aunty was looking like an overworked maid wey never chop since morning. She was everywhere at once

From going to make arrangements canopies and chairs, to calling rain makers, who are supposed to make sure that there'd be no rainfall on her day, to making arrangements for drinks, and hassling the cooks to begin preparation for cooking.

It was a total mess

She was only able to sleep at around past eleven in the night!

This thing continued the next day, her D day o.

As I started setting up the bridal tent (which you should actually check out, by the way), I couldn't help but notice that it was still this aunty doing everything, and do you know the funny thing?

There were, at the very least, 5 Ashoebi girls, her friends, sitting around and waiting for breakfast without raising a finger, while their friend, the bride to be, was doing everything, even getting them the breakfast.

I believe the lesson people who are looking to get hitched, should take from this post is this;

You should have a committee of friends, who you can trust to handle affairs for you. This is often found on the groom's side, but I believe it should also be on the bride's side too, to ease her of any burden associated with planning an event (if you cannot afford an event planner).

Na your wedding day, you suppose relax

Aunty, save your strength for the doggy wey you go position for you hubby.

Broda, save your strength for the intense pen*sing wey you go deliver that night. No go f**k up, cos first impression matter right?
