Captain Hook is one of the top artists, musicians and producers on the Psychedelic & Progressive Trance scene. Travelling a diverse musical path, Reshef Harari has always achieved success guided by the frequencies. From the early days of DJing with vinyl, through the successful collaborative project Quantize, the visit to Techno-land as Sheff with releases at top labels, and finally as Captain Hook, the project that took over the world by a storm. Recently a new project was added: Alien Art with friend and fellow Psytrance leading figure Ace Ventura. Whatever path he walks, Reshef is always following his unique vision, keeps innovating and never stagnating. With four top selling albums with Iboga Records, countless single and compilation releases, collaborating with the best electronic music producers, Captain Hook has been playing in every conceivable festival, party and venue around the world.

With his latest album – Origin – released in November 2018, Captain Hook re-invented his sound yet again, going back to his origins and blending modern and vintage approaches to writing and producing Trance music. The album was released digitally, on CD and on a triple vinyl with a strong audio-visual concept. It’s a full experience, a true journey into deep hypnotic trance, and has been embraced globally by dancefloors and music lovers as a fresh breeze in the forest of Psychedelic Trance and beyond.

In recent years Reshef’s studio evolution saw him creating in a more traditional way, working on synthesis, understanding the signal flow, directing sound into parallel recording and only then processing it digitally. In the age of instant, Reshef goes back to the roots of electronic music creation, which might be time consuming but results in a unique and distinct sound for his projects. Music-wise he has been exploring the roots of Psytrance & Goa Trance and together with his unique contemporary approach creating a special unique blend that is delivering a strong and spiritual dancefloor effect.

We are honoured to host the one and only Sun Control Species for a very rare appearance at NYX Festival 2024 and legendary OG aussie act who we've brought back to close our festival & perform for the last time!!! 🤯😍

Andrew Davidson, better known as Sun Control Species, is a progressive trance artist based in Melbourne, Australia. He has been a staple in the Australian trance scene since the early 2000s and has gained recognition for his deep and heartfelt music.

Prior to pursuing his music career, Andrew worked as a commercial sound engineer and producer in Sydney from 1998 to 2000. He eventually decided to follow his passion for music and started the project SCS. Since then, he has become one of the most respected writers in the progressive trance scene down under. Andrew is known for his dedication and attention to detail, putting a lot of effort into every section of his compositions.

He has released music on various progressive labels including Iboga Records, Blue Tunes Records, Divinity Records, Tesseract Studio, Tip Records, Tribal Vision Records, and Zenon Records. His debut album, "Scienza Nuova," was released in June 2007 on Iboga Records, which solidified his place in the international progressive trance scene.

Now based in Melbourne, Andrew's countless performances and tireless travels all across Australia's thriving scene have brought him a solid reputation for the unique style and feel that SCS brings to the table. He has remixed renowned artists such as FREq, Antix, Visua and Behind Blue Eyes. SCS is an all-rounder who's deep, emotional, and uplifting music has been inspiring people both on and off dance floors for years!

This'll be one for the history books! The Dancefloor energy is gonna be off the charts!!! 🥳

Important announcement for Amped New Year’s Eve Event. ( Please share with friends attending )

Firstly we would like to thank everyone for being so patient over the last 10 days, as I don’t say this lightly our area has been completely turned upside down due to cyclone jaspers aftermath. We have been working around the clock to bring everyone updated answers as fast as we can, as well as securing a backup venue.

Due to the severe effects on the road within the Daintree we will no longer be able to use PKs jungle village as our venue for nye.

We do however have an amazing back up venue ( Mungalli falls outdoors centre ) 1.5 hours from Cairns and 2.5 hours from Port Douglas.

Music program and runtimes will go as planned, there is also accommodation and camping options onsite at mungalli that will be available to be booked very soon. ( More details, pricing and booking system coming shortly )

Anyone who can’t make it to the new venue please contact the page and we will go through all available options.

Anyone with accommodation at PK’s,
They have vowed to honour your booking anytime over the next 12 months, we have a number of events planned with them and once the road is open again we will start selecting some dates that hopefully work for our guests.

If your accommodation was booked outside of PK’s we suggest you make contact and ask for a similar deal.
