Originally from DR Congo , based in Sweden, DJ CHEZA is one of few DJs (also Dancer Choreographer) in Scandinavia that bridges the dance scene with the club scene and also one of few to be active in both scenes frequently.

Cred. Polar Music Prize Ceremony (tribute show for Grandmaster Flash himself), Way out west Festival, The nexus (Washington DC), Juste Debout Nordic. Played at numerous clubs/venues/festivals in Scandinavia and recently in South Africa.

CHEZA is known for his raw talent to blend colorful vibrant selections and create transitions to challenge the ear, usuing several mixing techniques to develop new ideas and momentums.

The Swedish-Lebanese club organizer and DJ Rasuul has initiated several club initiatives focusing on q***r and progressive culture in Stockholm in recent years, apart from working as a booker. His DJ sets are usually characterized by a genre-fluid mix where everything from Jersey Cub and Dancehall is blended with Ballroom, Kuduro and Arab Rave. For this special occasion, he will bring the HAFLA to Kind People Club!

We proudly present Juliana Huxtable who is coming to Kind People Club on Saturday!

Using the structures of music as mediums in her multi-media universe, Juliana Huxtable is a DJ and musician singular in her approach. Where her visual art and poetry navigate the complexification of desire in a life increasingly mediated by technology, her music utilizes the sounds of technology itself to construct parallel realities to be inhabited and embodied in rhythm and harmonic tableaux.

Her sets skillfully deploy the notion of sampling, and re-blogging as DJ strategies, ecstatically mixing an array of influences that frolic at the boundary of genre- intuition and experimentation. At once an assertion of freedom and an ode to the evolutionary structure of electronic music subcultures, she aspires to the sublime in what can often only be described as witchcraft behind the decks; seance from the stage.

Kind People Club are so proud to be able to present Off The Meds to our edition this Saturday!

Off The Meds is an experimental electronic DJ / Rap quartet consisting of Adrian Lux, Carli Löf, Kamohelo Khoaripe and Måns Glaeser. Not long after Kamohelo Khoaripe moved to Stockholm in 2013 from his native Johannesburg he met Adrian Lux, Carli Löf and Måns Glaeser, Three local dj-producers, all veterans of the small, tightly-knit, always evolving Swedish dance music scene.

What truly brought these music makers together was their mutual state of constant searching – working on everything with everyone but never truly belonging anywhere – not until Kamohelo showed up in town, that is. Their first single that was released in 2017 "Geraas" created waves all around Europe, Australia, South and North America and South Africa. The positive response led to their first EP "The Meds Are Kicking In" in February 2018.

Following up the EP in August later that year they released the low-slung, Eitho-jazz sampling hip-house gem Currency Low, one of the standouts on the compilation Studio Barnhus Volym 1. The band's Studio Barnhus Volym 1 appearance was followed by a 2019 solo release on the label – the ravey smash single Belter which came paired with a much-lauded remix by London top selector Joy Orbison.

Their self-titled debut album arrived in late 2020, which were praised by critics, and they won a Swedish "Grammis" for "Dance/Electro of the year" 2021. Off The Meds have also proved to be an exceptionally entertaining live act – the members diverse musical talents fully displayed on stage. Kamo half-naked and beaming with energy – shouting, whispering and whistling from on top of a bass speaker, perhaps his favourite of all those places he calls home.

Floorplan is the father-daughter duo of Robert & Lyric Hood who have re-positioned the euphoric feel of gospel into their disco, funk and soul styled house across the world’s dancefloors.

In the world of techno Robert Hood needs little introduction. Over the last 25 years his many benchmark productions have shaped the future of electronic music, in particular the unique minimalism he has made his own. For Lyric Hood, the journey begins. Having watched her father DJ the world over from the shadows and numerous appearances in the Floorplan DJ set she now comes centre-stage as co-producer and performer in the continous Hood (r)evolution.

The Floorplan project first came to light in 1996 when Robert Hood used it to announce his Drama imprint with the highly sought after ‘Funky Souls’ EP (subsequently re-issued by Rush Hour in 2010). Lying dormant for over a decade, the late 2000s saw a revitalized Hood re-establish Floorplan into what may well now be his most widely known musical outlet.

Kind People Club presenterar Jennifer Loveless
Jennifer Loveless är en påtaglig kraft som dj, en uppmärksammad producent och en talang med över ett decennium av erfarenhet under bältet. Hon är en mångsidig selector som hittade sin kärlek till klubbmusik genom dess mest grundläggande element; dansen.

Queerartisten är nu baserad i Europa och har sedan gjort väsen av sig och fått mycket uppmärksamhet. The Guardian UK har listat henne som 2023:s artist att hålla koll på och med bra resonemang. Hennes senaste EP, Around The World, har hyllats rejält av både Pitchfork Magazine & Resident Advisor och hon har sedan dess spelat på anmärkningsvärda ställen som Panorama Bar & Boiler Room. Hennes kärlek till musik är inte genrebunden, även om hon högt går under house och technons fana. Det som alltid kommer fram är hennes förkärlek för det känslomässiga, det roliga och hennes kärlek till klubben. Förberedd och redo, 2023 ser ut att bli ett grymt år för Jennifer Loveless och vi kunde inte vara mer glada över att få vara först med att presentera henne för Stockholm och Sverige.

En äkta legend besöker Kind People Club den 6 April. Jeff Mills, som många betraktar som technomusikens gudfader, är utan tvekan ett av de största amerikanska namnen inom techno.

Under det sena 80-talet bildade han gruppen "Underground Resistance" tillsammans med bl a Robert Hood men gick sedan vidare och startade sin egna label "Axis" i början av 90-talet. Djupt influerad av science-fiction har Jeff Mills adopterat sina idéer, koncept, berättelser och estetik som DJ, producent och artist därifrån. För honom är rymden en besatthet och hans musik blir nästan en musikalisk science-fiction opera. Hans musik erövrar rymden och förkroppsligar framtiden samtidigt som han respekterar det förflutna och förblir närvarande nuet. När han grundade sitt eget skivbolag Axis 1992, vars logotyp består av fyra trianglar som pekar mot ett osynligt centrum, tar Mills solsystemets roterande princip som estetik, koncept och modell för kreativitet.

Nu är det fyra år sedan han var i Stockholm senast. Gör er beredda på en unik och intim upplevelse när Jeff Mills kommer för att leverera ett 3h closing set på Kind People Club den 6 April på Under Bron. Det kommer att bli magiskt!

Carlita har tyvärr blivit tvungen att ställa in sitt besök hos oss. Tur i oturen då vi istället får välkomna Londonbaserade artisten Elkka för första gången i Stockholm 🥰

Elkka började som singer-songwriter och har utvecklats till en mångfacetterad producent, DJ och labelchef. Hennes musik är en blandning av house, electronica, percussion och drömmande sång och hennes dj-sets håller sig aldrig till en genre. 2016 bildade honom skivbolaget "Femme Culture" som föddes ur en önskan att kämpa för kvinnor i konsten och driva framåttänkande musik som står för inkludering bland alla kön, bakgrunder och övertygelser, och främjar aktivt samarbete inom alla områden.

Etiketten är också ett hem för hennes egna musik och 2019 släppte honom sin debut "Every Body Is Welcome" som fick enormt stöd av artister som Caribou och HAAi samt av Mixmag och DJ Mag. Hon har enormt momentum just nu där artister som t.ex. Four Tet, Floating Points, Caribou, George Fitzgarland, SHERELLE och Annie Mac stödjer henne stadigt.

En av personerna bakom Kind People Club är Antonsson. Med över två decennier i musikbranschen är han en veteran inom musikbranschen och Stockholms nattliv som DJ, producent samt eventarrangör. Han ligger bakom en mängd klubbkoncept som t.ex. KONTAKT och Nuet på Berns, E P I S O D E S, Kind People Club & What A View. Med en dynamisk stil, fylld av energi och lekfullhet, är han som dj inte bunden till någon stil och galopperar på sin egna livfulla och gåtfulla väg. Antonsson reser mellan genrer och levererar set’s som struntar i gränser och inbjuder till förtrollande gung. Se honom öppna stora golvet 10 December 😉

Kind People Club presenterar Beniwasta

Beniwasta, aka Denise Beniwa Johnson, är en av Stockholms främsta house queens. Hon bjuder alltid på magiskt energisk house och rör sig mellan mörkare deep house till gladare och euforisk disco och soulinfluerad house. Hon har öppnat för storheter som Kerri Chandler, spelat på en av de senaste Boiler Room-festerna i Stockholm och är även del av kollektivet EMBASSY som lyfter svarta DJs och kreatörer. Vi är så glada att hon joinar oss denna kväll!
