The Marshlands jubilee committee would like to thank everyone who came to celebrate this once in a lifetime event at ousefleet village hall today. We would also like to thank everyone who baked, help set up the marquees, Andy Barras for lending us chairs, The Nags Shed, Richard Daniels our fantastic singer, Fran, Dianne and Alan Ward for the amazing decorations, Kate and Pete Gunson for the bread and scones, parkins butcher, Reedness School, Bob and Jo Maidment for the wonderful cake as well as our wonderful committee and volunteers.

The marshlands Jubilee committee will be holding a best decorated house competition to commemorate the upcoming platinum jubilee. The competition is open to all the houses of Adlingfleet, Ousefleet, Whitgift, Reedness and Swinefleet with a first, second and third prize. The winners will be announced at our jubilee celebration at Ousefleet village hall on Sunday 5th of June which is open to all residents of Adlingfleet, Ousefleet, Whitgift, Reedness and Swinefleet

Marshlands Jubile Celebration

The next meeting for this Years Queen’s platinum Jubilee is Tomorrow evening at 7pm at ousefleet village hall.
We are looking for volunteers to help set up the marques put up bunting help with baking and ideas 💡 on things we can put on during the afternoon.
If you can't make the meeting but want to help please pm us.

The Marshlands Jubilee will be held on Sunday 5th June 2022, 13:30 at Ousefleet village hall . This is open to all residents of Ousefleet, Adlingfleet, Whitgift, Reedness and Swinefleet. A wristband will be available to purchase from Lyn Freeman at the old parsonage Reedness for £2, This will entitle the wearer to entry to the Marshlands Jubilee celebration as well as live entertainment and a complimentary picnic lunch. Children 16 and under will be free however the number of children will need to be known before the day for food as well as a Jubilee medal for all children who attend. There will also be a bar supplied by the nags shed to purchase alcohol beverages.
