This summer we planted an assortment of red dahlias and this is one of the first ones to bloom. She is called “Hot cakes” what do you think of the name? Definitely adding her into my list of favorites 😍 . Keeping our fingers crossed 🤞 that we can have some dahlias available for this Sunday

The reason why we started to grow flowers aside from falling in love with Dahlias are this Zinnias! They come in soooo many colors it always makes it hard to choose which ones to grow, you can see some of the different color in our previous post !

Our first harvest of cosmos 😆 not much at all but just enough to add some little details to our small display of flowers by our window.
Notice the peach gerbera that we used on this past weekend bouquets ?. I have the hardest time throwing away any extra stem or flower head that breaks on me while making this bouquets, there is always a way to enjoy them ☺️ .

Today marks our first market day of the season . We are open 9:30-1pm at the corner of Harmon Ave Next to the Pelham train station . Rain or shine!

This last couple of days the weather was wonderful, it really got us excited for this season. We haven’t been active, but there is a lot happening behind the scenes. We are getting ready to start our seeds, been checking our tubers, and ordering some new ones because … why not ! 😊 we can’t get enough of them.

Plus, Pelham Provisions, Blooms of Bliss beautiful flowers, Manor Sangria, Dobbs Ferry Lobster Guys, and beautiful handcrafted items from Eric Weber Woodcraft. And come learn more about Novel Night from the Friends of Pelham Public Library. All of this plus live music by Monica Uhm, etc AND not one but TWO food trucks! Officially our very first Café au Lait dahlia and I say first because this beauty kept breaking on us.
Yesterday before the rain I was finally able to cut her with any nice long stem at the perfect stage of blooming.
What do you think of her? I just can’t keep my eyes off. 😍
