hi friends! its been a minute since i popped in here to say hi and share a bit about myself! keeps telling me i need to write a book about my life and career because i've done so many random things- like making hair accessories for tv shows & magazines, wedding photography, vintage buyer, salon owner & stylist that was on a reality tv show.. i'll have to share about that one another day! a few random bits about me
• i've never watched a single harry potter, game of thrones or any of the bachelor/bachelorette series (please don't judge!)
• celebrity gossip and pop culture is a guilty pleasure though- anyone remember the old days of perez hilton?
• i've can’t seem to take any of the enneagram tests seriously because every time i take one it comes out different- can someone help me with that?
•i love 80s music and hip hop, a pandora station with that mix would be ideal
• i will stop and pet every cat/dog I come across
• i sleep bundled up, but with the window open
• i could live off tacos alone
• i fully believe that dr. pepper chapstick is the best thing ever made!

happy tuesday! i'm taking most of this month off from client work to hang out before our busy season starts back up. i read something the other day about having busy seasons, but not giving in to a busy life and i'm so on board with this. i want to cherish the days that are full and exciting and hold them just as dear as the ones where i do nothing at all- if there is any such thing as balance, that would be mine.

to our dearest couples that are knee deep in wedding planning, we just wanted to leave a note here saying we got you! this is no time to stress- just follow your gut, trust your vendors and incorporate what is meaningful to you and not things you think you need to check off a list. we are going to create something completely unique to you to make your day special, not just to make our portfolio & social media feeds look good. if you feel overwhelmed, close your computers, put down your phones and just enjoy this time together. trust us, the day of goes by crazy fast so have fun planning while you can and don't hesitate to ask your vendors for help- its what we're here for!!

it's officially the last day of my winter break! i thought i'd be a little sad for it to end, but i seriously took full advantage of these 3 weeks off (i wore every pair of sweats and leggings i owned!!) and can't wait for the next few weeks of weddings, design meetings and coffee dates with all my babes again to make up for my time away! how has this slow season been treating you- still soaking up every moment or ready to get back to work?

so excited for all the things i have lined up this year with work and play because i finally found a balance that works well for me. i'm not really a yearly resolution type of gal, instead I like to set 12 goals (one for each month) and have a bunch of micro resolutions instead. for january my goal is to clean things up- my home, workspace, computer, schedule and social media. i can't wait to start fresh and i think a deep clean will be a great jumping point into the new year- what types of resolutions do you make? yearly, monthly, a word for the year, skip it altogether? i'd love to hear!!

sometimes you just need to make a bouquet for yourself! my fella and i went on a little adventure with to grab some sunset photos and this was the first time i made a bouquet for just me since our wedding 10yrs ago 🙈 definitely making an effort to do some `just because’ arrangements more often!

heading into the weekend with an intimate wedding and then lots of candle making! my candle line comes out of retirement next week when it debuts at the and then a few weeks later at the - and I seriously can't wait to bring them back! I made custom candles (along with those florals) for 's wedding -those cutie tri-color terracottas on the left- and might have to offer it for some of my brides next year!! ✨

bicycle decorating made it onto my resume this weekend ☺️ when told me the vision for this install for , i was all in! large statement pieces are one of my favorite things to create, can’t wait for some of the events & weddings in 2019 with floral focal points like this!
