We are just a few weeks away from the MamaLinda Music Fest: Farm to Grass Music Series, happening February 1st-5th at the Saint Lucie Farm Preserve. We’d like to take a moment to introduce you to the bands that make up this year’s lineup. First up is Keith Bass & the Florida Bluegrass Express Band!!🪕

Keith Bass & the Florida Bluegrass Express is a hard-driving traditional bluegrass band from right up the road in Okeechobee, Florida. Band leader Keith Bass has been playing bluegrass professionally for 49 years! He is also a 5th generation cowboy and is ranch foreman for a 7,000-acre ranch overseeing about 2,500 head of beef cattle. Keith is joined by a talented group of musicians which includes LaRon Rogers on rhythm guitar and vocals, April Rogers on upright bass and vocals, Alby Lopez on the mandolin and Ian Lane on fiddle.

One of our fondest Farm to Grass memories with the Florida Bluegrass Express happened at last year’s Mama Linda Music Festival. We experienced a rain delay, and rather than cancel their set this band put on an epic and intimate acoustic performance for festival patrons right under our Merchantile Pavilion. Eventually members of other bands showed up to listen and the set closed out with a few unexpected sit ins!

Now THAT is what this is all about. Magical moments at the Saint Lucie Farm Preserve. ✨
