Your venue - yep, I'm not gonna sugar coat it, it's a big deal.
But that 'pressure' doesn't need to be met with stress, rather let's turn it into excitement.
What venue is going to give you and your guests good vibes? Where you feel comfortable, excited, it becomes a part of your story - a rendezvous point for years to come.

I will interview 4 amazing wedding planners, talking all about how an engaged couple can take what makes them, them - and translate that into an event. I've been getting asked a lot lately, from couples, whether vendors are taking advantage of "the wedding boom"?
Gonna be real here - your wedding pros OBSESS over their pricing. They are constantly worrying about whether or not they are too expensive, skimping out on client experience, what should they charge, how can they make a living doing what they love, but they really love the couple, should they discount, no discounts? - two years of a pandemic, kids, love, marriage, Quickbooks, Xero, service fees or not?
They are not taking advantage of the wedding boom.
That's why I pay Panelists. They GIVE SO MUCH of their bodies, mental health, family time, weekends - their time is so precious - it has value.
So send your vendors a thank you today please, write them a review, send them a coffee. Love on them! Seriously, IT WILL MAKE THEIR FREAKIN DAY!

Awwww, hello friend.
Nicole here! Yep, that's me. I'm putting on this crazy show and you'll see me act as the Moderator (sounds so fancy...) each week of Wedding Fest PDX.
Since I'm in my comfies :) I thought I'd introduce myself to anyone new to the Wedding Fest PDX community. Welcome!
A few fun facts! (okay, so more than a few)
-I'm a Virgo, my birthday is September 4th (same as Beyoncé's, which is awesome)
-My pronouns are she/her
-I'm the eldest of 3 daughters. My seesters are my everything. My best friends.
-My favorite snack as a kid was "Graham-crackers and milk". I'm talking Graham crackers broken into bite-size pieces, placed into a mug with milk poured over it. Equal part 'mush' to equal part 'crunch'. I have found zero people, besides my family, who eat it this way.
-I was on the chess team in middle school. Never won a tournament but I now beat my husband every time, so it was all worth it.
-When I fell in love with weddings: I sold wedding gowns on and off for 4 years during and after college. I loved hearing everyone's stories and how different and unique they were.
-I used to be really self-conscious about being tall - now, I rock some heels.
-If I could meet one person in real life, it'd be Dolly Parton
--I just can't bring myself to eat cottage cheese. So gross!
-I have two daughters, Abigail and Josephine, who make me laugh (also sometimes cry and yell inside) every day.
-If I had Mexican food every day, for the rest of my life - I'd be totally fine with that.
-I'm married to my high-school crush. We didn't profess our love for each other until after college though.
-My favorite thing to do is salsa dance.
So, yea, that' a little bit about me. Now tell me something about you.

March 8th we are going to again, talk about them, but with a spin.
From a wedding pro's perspective.
