Okay, I have an update for everyone.
I'm okay. I didn't sleep much last night. I kept seeing the grill of the truck when I closed my eyes. I woke up still...very stiff in my neck. I'm working out the kinks and getting the stiffness out by not being still. You know how it goes: "No Pain, No Gain". I have my chair here in my apartment. It breaks my heart every time I see it. But, I'll survive.
Parks & Rec called me today and they have rented me a scooter from Hoskins to use until I can talk to their insurance adjuster about my chair and whether I get it repaired or replaced. This scooter is different and I have to learn to feather the throttle more so I don't ding it up. It's definitely not a power chair but I'm grateful to have it.
I think I'm going to go ahead and cancel just so I can heal up a little bit more. Get me a few more days in to loosen up and be comfortable enough to spend time in my desk chair with minimal discomfort.
